Responsibilities:

As a Comfort Advisor / In-Home HVAC Sales Representative, you will meet with homeowners to evaluate their current heating and cooling systems and present customized replacement solutions.

  • Meet with homeowners during scheduled appointments to assess HVAC system replacement needs
  • Inspect existing heating and air conditioning equipment to determine job scope and pricing
  • Access HVAC equipment that may be located in attics, crawlspaces, basements, or mechanical areas

  • Present financing options and system solutions during the consultation

  • Stay on the Move: Drive your personal motor vehicle to conduct regular check ins, site visits and follow ups to ensure customer satisfaction.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Overview

  • Manage and nurture relationships of a high-volume book of business, particularly Small Business Clients with 10-50 Full Time Equivalent (FTEs)

The major objective for this Inside Sales Representative position is to increase sales in your assigned territory through growing existing customer accounts, cultivating new accounts, and creating new business opportunities. You will manage transactional accounts, provide standard quoting, and operate within established pricing guidelines. You will be in a thriving environment handling established OEM and contract manufacturing (CM) accounts. Your goal is to take DB Roberts, its franchised lines, and services deeper into the accounts and be the indispensable and trusted go-to source.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties as assigned.

  • Work with Field Sales Representatives to increase business at assigned accounts.
  • Identify, profile, qualify and quantify key growth markets and accounts.
  • Develop solid working relationships with key contacts within assigned customers.
  • Provide high levels of customer service through phone calls, emails, letters, and faxes.
  • Develop and execute effective quoting strategies for assigned customers.
  • Provide regular backup support for other Inside Sales team members.
  • Handling book of business of 3 million dollars or less annually.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year College or university or have mechanical aptitude with at least one year experience selling fasteners or related product preferred.
  • 1-2 years successful sales or related experience.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to report to assigned office location during scheduled in-office workdays.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Conduct onsite training sessions for key customers on the installation, operation, and maintenance of our data center cooling products.
  • Develop and deliver training materials, including manuals, presentations, and hands-on demonstrations.

nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

This position is posted in multiple locations and as such, the expected job-based pay scale may vary based on the location per the table below:

Compensation Range:
Geographic Region A: $76,000.00 - $141,100.00

Geographic Region B: $83,500.00 - $155,200.00

Geographic Region C: $91,100.00 - $169,300.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
