Position Summary The Senior Aircraft Systems Engineer is responsible for engineering data, instructions, and technical support within ATA chapters 21, 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, 32, 33, 35, 36, 38, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, and 57. This role also coordinates engineering activities across multiple projects while upholding company standards of safety, compliance, and operational efficiency. The position requires proper response and action in the event of any known policy departure. Job Responsibilities Prioritize Systems Engineering actions for Aircraft Systems Engineers. Guide and mentor the Aircraft Systems Engineers, providing technical support for large commercial fleets. Provide leadership and support to the Liaison Engineering Support Team for AOG/24/7 operations. Manage budgetary data for projects and issues as directed. Oversee Heavy Maintenance & Conversion MRO repair documentation. Issue instructions and documents to safely and economically return aircraft to service. Participate in the Project Systems Team and FAR/AD/NPRM compliance. Manage reviews, analyses, and responses to Fleet Team Idea Exchange (FIX) for commercial fleets. Participate in industry working groups, steering committees, and conferences. Review the work of consultant, contract, and MRO Systems Engineers. Evaluate FARs, NPRMs, ADs, SBs, SLs, and other service notifications. Develop approved and acceptable data, including AMOCs for repairs, modifications, and alterations. Update technical source documents for accuracy. Support integration of new and previously operated aircraft, including evaluation of repairs, ADs, STCs, and follow-on actions. Liaise with manufacturers, MROs, regulatory agencies, and outside engineering departments. Develop product improvement modifications based on reliability indicators. Establish component repair and build specifications to enhance dispatch reliability. Perform thorough analysis of fleet technical issues and reliability impact events. Submit recommendations for continuous improvement in safety, reliability, and cost control. Refine standard analysis methods to ensure consistent outcomes and responsible recommendations. Support continuous improvement of component reliability and fleet performance. Stay current with regulatory guidance and industry best practices. Organize and provide Systems Engineering documentation to complete modifications and repairs on schedule and within budget. Provide technical support to Technical Operations, Ground Operations, and Flight Operations. Review and initiate maintenance program changes and document updates. Report status of projects and issues as directed. Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager Aircraft Systems Engineering. OverviewPrinceton University is seeking an experienced Reporting and Analytics Lead to drive readiness, planning, and implementation of reporting for a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system across Human Capital Management (HCM), Finance, and Academic (Student) systems. Reporting to the University Data Office (UDO), this role will provide functional and technical expertise for data and reporting in modern cloud-based ERP systems and will establish the ERP reporting strategy, define requirements, and successfully deliver reporting from the ERP. Lead the creation and maintenance of a prioritized future state reporting inventory based on the ERP reporting roadmap
Lead and guide a project reporting sub-team, including functional analysts and report developers (internal and consulting), to design and develop reports and dashboards to support operational and management reporting for business process and user needs
Establish and implement quality control for all report development activities, ensuring accuracy and alignment with functional objectives as well as on-time delivery
Proactively identify and resolve reporting issues, risks, and dependencies
Mentor reporting developers, providing skills development to ensure consistent application of the report development lifecycle including report and dashboard design standards; accessing ERP data structures for report development, all phases of testing including user acceptance testing; and effective knowledge transfer from implementation partners
Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards
Reporting Strategy and Leadership:
Working with the readiness partner, UDO, functional and Information Technology (IT) leaders, define the ERP reporting strategy and approach, aligning with institutional data strategy and related initiatives including the Analytics Hub
Incorporate the reporting strategy into ERP planning, reporting readiness, and implementation activities across modules and business processes
Direct the gathering, analysis, and prioritization of reporting requirements from stakeholders and functional teams to develop an ERP reporting implementation roadmap
Collaborate with UDO colleagues, data stewards, and implementation partners to establish data collection and quality standards in support of conversion and reporting, design master data, structure and taxonomy that represents the institution and enables roll up reporting, develop role-based access models for reporting, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
Communicate ERP reporting concepts, requirements, and updates to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Working with implementation partners, delivering training to report developers in the functional units, and users of ERP self-service reporting at implementation
