This role is responsible for selling and managing guest room blocks, meeting space, and food & beverage services for corporate, university, and executive education clients. Group Sales Manager Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage group business for the conference center and hotel
- Prospect and build relationships with corporate, academic, and association clients
- Respond to RFPs, conduct site visits, and create customized proposals
- Coordinate guest room blocks, meeting space, and catering packages
- Meet or exceed revenue targets through strategic outreach and lead conversion
- Collaborate with internal departments (catering, front office, operations) to ensure seamless event delivery
- Maintain accurate records using CRM and event management systems
Group Sales Manager Requirements & Qualifications:
- 2+ years of current hotel, conference center, or event sales experience
- Experience managing group bookings, guest rooms, catering, and event space
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
