As an Interim Accountant, you will be part of the Accounting/Finance department supporting payroll operations, job costing, and system optimization efforts. What’s the Job?

• Rebuild and validate a new QuickBooks company file in parallel with a third-party system.* Create and implement updated payroll templates that accurately match union liabilities 1:1.* Develop and refine reports to show multi‑job cost visibility, including labor, materials, expenses, and liability allocation.* Ensure union liabilities are correctly applied to job costs, including hour‑for‑hour liability matching.* Prepare raw data exports and time‑stamped records to support analytics and future AI-driven processes.

What’s Needed?

• Advanced QuickBooks Enterprise experience, including payroll configuration and job costing.* Strong understanding of payroll processes; prior in‑house payroll experience required.* Experience with union payroll or union reporting (Chicago electrical unions preferred).* Ability to troubleshoot discrepancies between actual union payments and QuickBooks entries.* Ability to work on‑site initially, with hybrid flexibility once ramped up.
