Description

The Regional Medical Director at Mission Pet Health is a senior veterinary leader responsible for overseeing medical quality, clinical standards, and practice performance across a defined region of veterinary hospitals and clinics. Mission Pet Health is dedicated to creating innovative healthcare solutions for pets, combining science and passion to improve the quality of life for pets and their owners worldwide. In this role, you will serve as the primary medical authority for your region, guiding hospital medical directors and veterinary teams to deliver consistent, evidence-based, and compassionate care aligned with Mission Pet Health’s innovative, collaborative, and pet-focused culture. You will partner closely with operations leadership to shape and execute regional strategies that enhance patient outcomes, client satisfaction, and hospital growth while maintaining the highest standards of veterinary ethics and medical integrity. As Regional Medical Director, you will provide hands-on clinical and strategic leadership, including mentoring veterinarians, supporting complex medical cases, and standardizing medical protocols and best practices across your region. You will review clinical performance data, identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and implement initiatives that elevate medical quality and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for ensuring regulatory and accreditation compliance, promoting a culture of continuous learning, and championing innovative approaches in diagnostics, treatments, and preventive care. In collaboration with cross-functional teams in veterinary health, you will contribute to the development and rollout of new clinical programs, practice guidelines, and pet health solutions that reflect Mission Pet Health’s commitment to advancing veterinary medicine. You will recruit, onboard, and coach veterinarians and medical leaders, fostering an environment where feedback, collaboration, and professional growth are encouraged. You will support career pathing, performance evaluations, and succession planning for medical staff, helping to build strong, resilient teams capable of delivering exceptional care even in high-demand settings. By modeling transparent communication, empathy, and accountability, you will help sustain a workplace culture that celebrates creativity, teamwork, and a shared passion for enhancing pet health. The Regional Medical Director will also represent Mission Pet Health within the veterinary community, participating in regional industry events, building relationships with referral partners and academic institutions, and serving as an ambassador for the organization’s mission and values. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to align regional goals with company-wide initiatives, contribute clinical insight to strategic planning and budgeting, and ensure that medical decisions support both patient well-being and sustainable business performance. This role is ideal for an experienced veterinarian who thrives at the intersection of medicine, leadership, and innovation, and who is excited by the opportunity to help pioneer the future of pet healthcare within a dynamic and collaborative organization. Working at Mission Pet Health offers the opportunity to be part of a team committed to pioneering pet healthcare solutions, fostering professional growth in an innovative and collaborative environment. As Regional Medical Director, you will have the autonomy to shape medical standards across your region while benefiting from robust corporate support, advanced clinical resources, and a network of like-minded professionals who share your dedication to improving the lives of pets and the people who love them.
