Defense Mission Financial Analyst The Opportunity: As a defense mission professional, you ask questions others dont. As a Defense Mission Financial Analyst, youll bring your strategic and analytical financial and resource management expertise to work on projects for our client. Youll be responsible for assisting with strategic budget planning, advice, recommendations, and execution of resources to assist the client in achieving their priorities and executing their mission. Youll be a trusted advisor to our clients, and well look to you to identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies, and processes supporting the PPBE process for Department of Defense clients. You Have: 7+ years of experience with financial management and assisting with budget supporting Joint Staff or Component headquarters, including assisting with developing strategies, decision briefs, and information papers, and analyzing policy Experience with the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes Experience with creating spend plans in collaboration with senior leadership to meet client priorities within established funding levels Experience assisting with writing and editing budget justification materials, mid-year reviews, congressional budget briefings, POM fiscal guidance, and ad hoc budget tasks requiring coordination with senior leadership Experience with processing different types of funding documents in the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) toolsets according to established spend plans and tracking commitments, obligations, and expenditures, and assisting in providing regular budget execution status reports showing progress against the spend plan and established benchmarks Knowledge of the process of placing funds onto government contracts, contract types, and CLIN structures Ability to anticipate client and stakeholder requirements, perform proactively while paying strict attention to detail, and work with minimum oversight Ability to work independently, creatively, and analytically in a problem-solving environment Secret clearance Bachelors degree Nice If You Have: Experience working as part of a cross-functional delivery team, incorporating detailed technical data from multiple team members into executive-level decision-making products, and communicating the recommendations to senior-level clients effectively Experience in preparing and coordinating correspondence requests directed to senior DoD leadership Experience reviewing the annual Defense Authorization and Appropriations Acts for provisions and their impacts on the client's mission or budget Experience writing and synthesizing budget justification data from multiple sources into comprehensive responses that are easy to comprehend Clearance: Secret clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individuals particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
