TrueStone is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Controller to join our Finance and Accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with proven experience in financial management, reporting, and controls. As Controller, you will play a critical leadership role in overseeing the company's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. You will work closely with senior leadership to ensure financial integrity, support strategic decision-making, and drive the overall financial performance of the organization Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and prepaids Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts Assist in the preparation of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed Review invoices, expense reports, and ensure proper coding of transactions Assist with audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation Analyze variances and investigate discrepancies Maintain accurate financial records and documentation Support budgeting and forecasting activities Assist in improving accounting processes and internal controls Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field 2-3 years of accounting experience preferred 2-3 years of real estate experience preferred Strong understanding of GAAP Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with accounting systems (e.g., ERP systems) preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities Benefits and Perks: Hybrid work schedule (4 days onsite; 1 day work from home) & early Fridays Generous PTO and paid holidays Comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage with FSA or HSA options Discounted life insurancePre-tax commuter benefits Professional development NY Pay Transparency: The pay range for this position is ($70,000 - $75,000) annually based on skills and experience.
