The Mechanical Engineering Organization seeks an Engineer Systems Modeling & Simulation - Level 2 at the Chandler, AZ facility. Essential Functions Dynamic Environments: Develop environments such as random vibration, shock, and acoustics related to launch vehicle operations Perform analyses using appropriate classical and computer aided techniques and prepare results for oral presentations, and written reports. Perform random vibration and/or shock analysis Build finite element and/or statistical energy analysis models for use in dynamic simulations Generate dynamics test requirements and overall qualification test approach for avionics components and secondary structures Execute vibration and shock testing from start-to-finish: pre-test analysis, sensor selection and installation, testing, data analysis, model correlation, and report generation) Analyze acceleration and pressure time history data from ground test and flight for use in vibroacoustic analyses Provide dynamic design guidelines and requirements to mechanical designers in early phases of hardware development Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Masters degree in STEM with 0 years of related engineering experience, Ability to obtain a U.Government Secret security clearance In-depth knowledge of vibration theory, structural dynamics, rigid body dynamics, and finite element methods Preferred Qualifications: Active U.Government Secret security clearance, or higher Bachelors or Master's in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering Proficiency in FEA software, preferably NASTRAN, ABAQUS, or Femap Proficiency in MATLAB or Python Ability to apply fundamental analytical techniques and prepare written analyses Previous experience with launch vehicle coupled loads analysis (CLA) and Craig-Bampton models Experience with modal test, modal analysis, or explicit dynamics/FEA Familiarity with Linux Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
