ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • The MISR will be able to handle all aspects of the sales or rental transaction including quote preparation, arranging financing, presentation of product, and analyzing the application. • This individual will also identify potential equipment users in our service territory who are not being covered by a sales representative. • The MISR will be responsible for maintaining a consistent call cycle to all assigned and prospect accounts. • Build and maintain relationships with retail customers in their assigned territory. • Prospect and build a manageable list of assigned accounts. • Utilize SalesLink to document customer information, sales calls, leads & opportunities, activities, and lost sales transactions. • Along with management, develop account plans and overall territory strategy. • Utilize past sales history to assist in the development of strategic territory and account plans. • Contact prospective customers to determine needs and present product information or services. • Quotes and closes sales/rental transactions as well as all required documentation & reporting to include worksheets. • The MISR will assist/conduct demonstrations, represent the Company at community events such as trade shows, fairs and open houses; Safe and responsible operation of company vehicles. • QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY · Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience. · Knowledge of basic machine operation, application, selection, acquisition, maintenance, repair and disposal. · Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems. · Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. · Ability to utilize the materials available to sell products. · Basic computer (PC) skills. · Utilize basic selling skills (communication style, questioning, listening, feature/benefit relationship, call planning, territory management, objections, use of visuals, negotiating and closing) to effectively win the available business. · PREFERRED · Two (2) years sales experience is preferred. · Experience with equipment industry preferred. (repair, operation, etc.). PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS · Material and equipment directly used: Company forms for quotes, rental contract, invoicing, call reporting, expense accounting and the like. Product literature and reference material. Operate earth-moving equipment. · Company facilities, customer offices and job sites. · Physical activities include normal office work, driving, climbing on and operating machines, capability to see, hear and feel machine condition indications. · Travel required.
