Management Services Working Title: RENTAL VEHICLE CONTRACT SPECIALIST - 72001613 Pay Plan: Career Service Position Number: 72001613 Salary: $75,000.00 Posting Closing Date: 05/18/2026 Total Compensation Estimator Tool Rental Vehicle Contract Specialist Division of Specialized Services / Fleet and Federal Property Management State of Florida Department of Management Services This position is located in Tallahassee, FL Duties and Responsibilities: Reviews and evaluates operational effectiveness of the rental vehicle contract. Proactively resolves issues and implements efficiencies in the rental vehicle contract. Provides analysis of reports and special studies on the rental vehicle contract, identifying potential issues and offering recommendations to improve effectiveness and efficiency. Develops and coordinates implementation strategies for problems assigned in accordance with federal, state, and department objectives. Reports all substantive issues regarding the rental vehicle contract and formulates monthly reports regarding same. Monitors, evaluates, and reports on the operational effectiveness of the rental vehicle contract, ensuring compliance with all contractual terms, policies, and regulations. Knowledge, skills and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position: Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis. Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work flow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices. Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials. Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities. Licensure/registration/certification requirements (If applicable, list the appropriate Florida Statute or federal regulation cite): Minimum Qualifications: 4 years of professional experience in systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation, engineering, or administrative work Other job-related requirements for this position: Adheres to safety awareness policies in the workplace, views safety videos when presented and attends required safety meetings.
