We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Server Administrator to ensure the reliable operation, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise server infrastructure supporting USCENTCOM operations. This role is responsible for maintaining optimal system performance, data integrity, and security while supporting mission-critical operations in a high-tempo environment.

The Server Infrastructure Administrator will operate as a senior technical contributor and may provide coordination and technical leadership across a team of server administrators. This position requires strong troubleshooting expertise, disciplined change management, and the ability to support complex enterprise environments while collaborating across multiple IT domains.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage enterprise server infrastructure, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with mission requirements.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions for servers, operating systems, configurations, and enterprise architecture.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system, hardware, software, and Active Directory/Group Policy issues to minimize downtime and mission impact.
  • Perform advanced software installations, upgrades, patching, and updates to operating systems and layered applications.
  • Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimal performance, availability, and reliability.
  • Ensure data integrity and system security through implementation of approved configurations, security controls, and best practices.
  • Lead or support disaster recovery and continuity efforts to ensure system and service recoverability.
  • Conduct system and network audits to ensure compliance with DISA STIGs, policies, and configuration standards.
  • Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements to enhance performance, scalability, and security.

Technical Leadership & Coordination (Non-Supervisory)

  • Provide technical leadership and coordination across a team of server administrators supporting enterprise operations.
  • Lead or coordinate task execution for complex, high-visibility, or time-sensitive operational efforts.
  • Serve as an acting senior point of contact during outages, escalations, or when team leadership is unavailable.
  • Assist in prioritizing workload and aligning team efforts with mission requirements, SLAs, and operational priorities.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (ESS, Virtualization, Storage, Network, Monitoring, Customer Support) to resolve issues and implement solutions.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions aligned with organizational and mission objectives.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to less-experienced administrators, promoting technical growth and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, playbooks, and technical documentation to support operational continuity.
  • Perform DISA STIG review, implementation, and compliance validation.
  • Support incident response activities, bridge calls, and troubleshooting efforts during major outages or events.
  • Contribute to process improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives across the server environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical training, certifications (CompTIA Security+), or a degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in system administration or a related role in an enterprise environment.
  • Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
  • Strong experience with system configuration, patching, and lifecycle management.
  • Experience with system backup, recovery, and continuity processes.
  • Ability to operate within structured change management processes in a mission-critical environment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Server+, or equivalent).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

Job Summary
We are hiring an on site IT generalist who can own day to day support while keeping core infrastructure healthy and secure. You will resolve end user issues, manage Microsoft 365 and Active Directory, maintain servers and networks, and handle hands on hardware tasks from laptops to rack equipment.

What You Will Do

  • Provide front line support for Servers (Linux, Windows), Windows laptops and desktops, monitors, docks, printers, scanners, and peripherals.

  • Solid knowledge of Active Directory, OU structure, GPOs, and Windows Server administration
  • Hands on networking experience with firewalls and switches. Fortinet FortiGate and Ubiquiti UniFi experience is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with DNS, DHCP, VLANs, subnets, CIDR, NAT, and VPNs
  • Confident working on hardware. Comfortable replacing laptop screens, keyboards, RAM, storage, and batteries. Able to swap server components such as disks, NICs, PSUs, and fans

Preferred Qualifications and Big Pluses

  • Microsoft Entra Connect or equivalent hybrid identity sync between on prem AD and cloud AD. Experience with user provisioning, attribute mapping, write back, and staged rollouts
  • SSO and identity federation experience using SAML 2.0, OIDC, and OAuth 2.0. Ability to configure app registrations, SP and IdP metadata, claim rules, and SCIM based provisioning
  • Bare metal hypervisor experience such as Proxmox VE, XCP ng or Citrix XenServer. Comfortable with VM templates, storage pools, bridges, VLAN tagging, live or cold migration, and basic HA concepts
  • Hypervisor experience with Hyper V or VMware
  • Backup solutions experience such as Veeam or similar
  • Monitoring tools such as PRTG, Zabbix, Grafana, or UniFi Network Application

Our customer, the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), provides, operates, and assures command and control of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) services to its customers, the department of Defense (DoD) and national security organizations. This position directly supports the DISA-provided capabilities and services.

The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector/Global Solutions Management-Operations II (GSMO-II) contract has an opening for a Network Performance & Reliability Engineer II at MacDill AFB, FL.  The Network Engineer will perform  sustainment, performance, maintenance, Problem and Change management services to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of the Department of Defense networks.

This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance to start.

Responsible for assisting with the following duties:
• Maintain, deploy, and troubleshoot databases and data ingestion scripts.
• Assist data engineers with quality control of data, data collection processes, and testing/implementing data collection and process improvements
• Aid senior team members in supporting GSMO Program driven Innovations development, integration, and continuous improvement by leveraging, maintaining, and in the creation/maintenance of various tools.
• Perform engineering tasks related to the design, performance management/analysis, implementation, and integration of network changes and sustainment of customer systems in an Wide Area Network environment.
• Conduct planning and performance of analytical research, design development, and other tasks to align with customer specifications.
• Control network systems & tools to ensure 99% or better system uptime and connectivity.

You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience with a Network Operations Center or Service Desk supporting customers in a technical environment
  • Experience with virtual applications, including VMware vSphere, v Center , or ESXi

The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD).
