Job Description The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Administrative Assistant IV, Family and Community Medicine Department, Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine [R0151320] ROLE of the POSITION The Administrative Assistant 4 assists the Sr Specialist, Grants and Contracts; Department Chair; and grant Project Directors, and Residency Program Director(s) in the management and direction of various grants and special projects. This position has responsibility for projects with distinct requirements and assists multiple academic and administrative faculty within the department. The Administrative Assistant 4 collaborates with internal and external partners to assist with assessment and evaluation, long-term planning, project development and implementation, database management, grant reporting, communications and marketing, and budgeting/invoicing. The grant-funded projects are highly specialized and involve high level understanding of relevant rules and regulations and how they interact with the NSHE system, School of Medicine, and Department. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: providing administrative/program support to professional staff and management; performing secretarial duties in support of a manager; coordinating communications between the manager, staff and program clientele; supervision of subordinate staff; researching information from internal and external sources; OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. We have an opportunity for a Radar Subsystem Product Lead. The Lead is accountable for the performance of the hardware and the financial and contractual commitments. The lead is responsible for creating a collaborative, innovative, and technically focused culture while over-seeing a cross functional team.

What You Will Do :

  • Demonstrate Technical Leadership by driving design, development, integration, and testing to meet performance requirements.
  • Ensure contractual commitments for cost, schedule, and technical performance are met for their assigned scope.
  • Coordinate and align cross-functional teams (engineers, manufacturing, suppliers, Supply Chain) to work cohesively towards common goals, managing workloads and priorities.
  • Provide clear, concise status updates, technical details, risks, and solutions to program managers, functional leaders, and customers.

Qualifications You Must Have :

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 10 years’ of prior work experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ of prior work experience.

  • Minimum seven (7) years of prior work experience to include any combination of the following:

    • Experience with project/program management tools, systems, and/or methodologies.
    • Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP) / Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and/or Risk and Opportunity Management.
    • Experience with proposal or capture efforts.
