Job Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment
  • Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems in person, remotely, or via phone/email
  • Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords
  • Perform routine system updates, patches, and backups
  • Monitor system performance and report recurring issues

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

Leidos’ Dig Mod Health IT division is looking for an experienced Cloud and Platform Engineering Manager to support a major IT services project at Health Human & Human Services (HHS) in Rockville, MD.

The Cloud and Platform Engineering Manager will lead and oversee engineering teams focused on M365/Azure environments, endpoint device management, unified communications platforms, mobile device solutions, and AI technology integration. They will manage the daily operations of the endpoint engineering team, set technical standards and best practices, and ensure successful project delivery by coordinating with stakeholders throughout the organization. This role involves managing the team’s priorities and technical projects, working with the Program Manager on technical road maps, resource planning, and allocation. As a senior technical escalation point, they will address issues and challenges, provide feedback and guidance, and regularly interface with the HHS customer to update on status, review projects and risks, and discuss upcoming priorities. The Manager will also collaborate frequently with other cross-functional engineering and contractor teams supporting HHS initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team supporting enterprise endpoint, Microsoft Cloud, and UCC collaboration services in a federal environment.
  • Oversee engineering functions for Microsoft 365, Azure, Exchange Online, Teams, and related collaboration services.
  • Manage Windows and macOS endpoint engineering, including device lifecycle management, patching, imaging, compliance baselines, and security configuration.
  • Oversee mobile device management (MDM) platforms (e.g., Intune, JAMF) and establish secure mobility policies across iOS, Android, and other mobile platforms.
  • Direct unified communications and video teleconferencing (VTC) engineering, ensuring high availability, quality, and reliability of conferencing infrastructure.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of combined IT and IT Engineering experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ years of combined IT and IT Engineering experience required. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • 5+ years of Team and Project Management experience supporting at Senior Level.

  • Extensive hands-on experience and technical expertise in:

    • M365/Azure administration and engineering
    • Windows and macOS endpoint management
    • Unified communications platforms and VTC systems
    • Mobile device management platforms (e.g., Intune, JAMF)
  • Enterprise AI tools, AI policy considerations, and integrating AI capabilities into end-user environments.

GovCIO is currently hiring for Systems Engineer SME to manage and secure all mobile devices across the Air Education and Training Command (AETC) organization in the approved AETC Enterprise Mobile Device Management (EMDM) Service as a Software (SaaS) environment (including but not limited to: IBM MaaS360, MS Intune), and working with industry partners to ensure that mobile devices are secure, up-to-date, and functioning efficiently.

As a part of the Operations team, the systems engineer will be relied on for supporting team members by designing, implementing, and maintaining AETC EMDM solutions to manage and secure devices within the organization. Collaboration skills are a must as you will work closely with IT teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality across various platforms and devices.

The candidate of choice must be able to utilize technical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities to ensure the successful deployment and maintenance of AETC EMDM solutions. We are searching for an individual with the ability to work independently and as a part of a team, with the goal of supporting core correctional operations to improve business practices and performance in support of the agency mission to Recruit, Train, and Educate Exceptional Airmen. Candidate must have a strong understanding of, and hands on experience with, Mobile Device Management (MDM) capabilities, device management best practices, and security protocols.

This position is onsite at JBSA Randolph AFB, San Antonio, TX and is contingent upon OY2 Period of Performance funding award. Position start date on or about May 18, 2026

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the AETC Enterprise Mobile Device Management (EMDM) solution Administration which could look like
  • Assuming responsibility for the end-to-end management and troubleshooting of  MDM devices (includes but not limited to: Windows, MAC, iOS, Android)
  • Providing data and performing actions requested by the EMDM Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to ensure Authorization to operate (ATO) compliance
  • Administering Apple Business Manager
  • Creating and managing trusts between Apple Business, hardware vendors (includes but not limited to: AT&T, Verizon) and the MDM
  • Performing resolution activities to diagnose issues related to application deployment, configuration issues and performs quality assurance
  • Creating and deploying MDM policies for device enrollment, configuration, compliance, security, and application management
  • Creating and managing configuration profiles for different types of hardware, applications, software, and other mission requirements
  • Supporting identity and access management (IAM) principles and technologies
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting for MDM related issues
  • Staying informed about new MDM features, updates, and capabilities
  • Developing and maintaining documentation, training materials, and standard operating procedures
  • Working the industry partners to submit tickets for reporting issues that require industry partner intervention
  • Coordinating and participating in planned maintenance activities
  • Coordinating and participating in planned change control board activities
  • Coordinates the planning, design, and installation of equipment, using knowledge of engineering and programming as well as sophisticated instruments and computers.

Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience

  • Clearance Required: Secret
  • High School with 10+ years (or commensurate experience)

OR

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, information security, information technology or closely related field
  • Two years of modern workplace technologies, including Windows, iOS, Android and macOS platforms
  • One year of professional work experience as an MDM Administrator or similar role, managing device management and security solutions.
