  • Design, develop, and integrate reporting/dashboard solutions on MS SharePoint.

  • Administer database systems technical design, performance monitoring and tuning, backup and recovery, data and file distribution, reporting, database upgrades, integrations, migrations and conversions.

  • Design and implement OLTP and OLAP data models.

  • Develop and maintain database administration procedures and operations; cross train on, and provide operational support of, procedures.

  • Design, implement, and support data warehousing - implement business rules via stored procedures, middleware or other technologies; define user interfaces and functional specifications.

  • Responsible for verifying accuracy of data in dashboards, reports, data extracts and data warehouse.

  • Monitor system details within the data warehouse, including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues, database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication and other distributed data issues.

  • Resolve database performance issues by looking at query plans, create appropriate indexes, resolve dead locks and create table hints.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in reports, dashboards and ETL packages.

  • Closely work with other IT teams including Analysts and Product Managers to troubleshoot, modify and enhance existing BI assets.

  • Coordinate activities and maintain extensive communication with appropriate IT staff and UNFCU staff.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to databases.

  • Participate in assigned roles in project teams.

  • Follow the organizations data protection and network securities and antivirus policies.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, and attend training, conferences and seminars according to organizations business requirements.

The Naval Systems and Sustainment (NSS) Raytheon Team is looking for a Ship Systems Integration & Sustainment (SSIS) Portfolio Chief Engineer. The NSS technologies span from seabed to space and include critical, effective, and dependable maritime integrated warfare capabilities and sustainment services. Our purpose is to provide integrated solutions that strengthen security at sea and protect U.S. and allied ships and sailors worldwide.

The SSIS portfolio within NSS includes a broad array of Navy products and technologies that are core to the organization. These are primarily the Zumwalt class destroyers, the Dual Band Radar (DBR), Integrated Ship Solutions and

Support (IS3), Aegis modernization, the MK 99 Fire Control System (FCS), and sustainment for Phalanx, SeaRam, the Land-Based Phalanx Weapon System (LPWS), the SPY-6 system, Aegis, and DBR. The SSIS Portfolio CE is a member of the NSS Office of the Chief Engineer and is responsible for technical execution and oversight of the programs and Program CEs within the business area.

The contract value overseen by the SSIS CE is over $1B across more than 175 active contracts, including international scope. The SSIS technical team is composed of over 300 individuals spanning the Engineering disciplines and located at 11 different Raytheon work locations across the country. What You Will Do

  • Function as the primary representative of the NSS Office of the Chief Engineer (OCE) to the SSIS Program Director and their cross-functional Leadership Team
  • Lead the SSIS Program CEs as both a technical lead and People Leader
  • Accountable for technical Engineering execution of the programs within the SSIS portfolio
  • Ensure Engineering and OCE processes, policies, directives, and initiatives are appropriately deployed, implemented, and executed on programs within the SSIS portfolio
  • Represent Engineering, the OCE, and the SSIS programs to senior external individuals and customers
  • Ensure adequate and appropriate Engineering resources are being deployed as necessary on programs within the SSIS portfolio
  • Identify and engage to address in a timely manner any Engineering issues that arise on programs within the SSIS portfolio

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Experience leading a large, multi-disciplined technical team with the ability to develop, empower, motivate, and monitor the team.
  • Experience interfacing with senior internal leadership and external customers representing Engineering and the OCE.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
