Responsibilities
As the AI software lead, you will be hands-on and leading the team responsible for ensuring AI SDK support for a variety of IOT product platforms.

•Represent platform needs externally. Engage with corporate IT (CIOS), security (CIS), and compliance teams to ensure platform decisions align with enterprise standards, security requirements, and regulatory constraints.
•Cover security and compliance. Ensure MissionOS platform decisions account for security, compliance, and operational risk. You speak confidently with security teams about how the platform addresses their concerns.
•Enable self-service at scale. Design infrastructure- and policy-as-code patterns, golden path templates, and developer portal experiences that let teams provision environments, deploy applications, and access services without waiting for tickets.

Required Qualifications
•Master’s degree and 15+ years in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field (Master’s preferred).
•15+ years of software engineering experience with significant focus on platform engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, or developer tooling.
•Deep hands-on experience designing and building developer platforms—internal developer portals, CI/CD systems, infrastructure-as-code, self-service environments, runtime platforms.
•Strong architectural thinking with proven ability to design systems that balance immediate needs with long-term scalability and maintainability.
•Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) including compute, networking, IAM, and infrastructure services.
•Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, or equivalent).
•Proficiency with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi, AWS CDK, CloudFormation).
•Familiarity with CI/CD platforms (GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, or equivalent) and how to design self-service pipelines at scale.
•Strong understanding of security and compliance requirements and satisfying them through policy-as-code in enterprise or regulated environments. Ability to engage credibly with security teams about platform risk, SBOM management, vulnerability scanning, and secure-by-design principles.

Technical & Engineering Responsibilities Define the process (Manufacturing Process and Production Process) Establish required production rate, quality plan, and safety requirements Define product data required to execute the project (3D models, drawings, specifications, quality) Define baseline equipment specifications and standards Develop and maintain the project Scope of Work Create Request for Quote (RFQ) documentation and host quote lineup meetings for procurement of machine components Coordinate and resolve engineering design, integration, testing, and startup issues across the project lifecycle Work closely with mechanical, controls, build, and service teams to deliver technical solutions Lead system design activities, including requirements definition, commissioning, and validation Author system operation, maintenance, and training documentation Project Management & Execution Responsibilities Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality for automation deliverables Maintain timely budget and schedule updates, including critical path and mitigation plans Ensure compliance with contractual deliverables and company processes Maintain accurate project documentation and realtime project records Lead execution requirements during installations and support proposal activities Stakeholder & Resource Coordination Responsibilities Collaborate with crossfunctional and production support teams to meet requirements and drive continuous improvement Coordinate activities of team members from various departments (technical, supply chain, site management, etc.) Provide leadership within the project team despite having no direct reports Manage internal customer communication, including meetings, documentation, timing updates, open issues, and cost/scope impacts Monitor project compliance with safety rules, building codes, and regulatory requirements Verify cost accuracy, audits, check sheets, and longlead component coordination Prepare internal/external project status reports and escalate issues when necessary Complete lessonslearned evaluations to improve future projects QualificationsQualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience 10+ years of manufacturing, automation, or project launch experience Strong technical foundation in mechanical systems, robotics, controls, motion, pneumatics, hydraulics, and/or vision systems Proficiency in project management, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, procurement, and quality management Ability to define and manage engineering processes, requirements, and technical documentation Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across internal departments and external resources Demonstrated problemsolving and decisionmaking capabilities High professional integrity with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction Ability to use general IT and project management tools effectively Commitment to staying current with emerging automation and manufacturing technologies

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS One year experience in electrical estimating, cost control, and/or engineering experience in construction. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and man-hour figures. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. Coordinate total estimating effort relevant to bid/project as assigned. Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimates and figures. SUMMARY Responsible for coordination of estimates to assure timely and accurate completion. Responsible for the preparation of indirect and direct cost estimates. Responsibilities include pre-construction services, budgeting, and conceptual estimates, including a collaborating relationship with the Sr. Preconstruction Manager. Occasionally analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Obtains and distributes bid documents. Holds strategy meetings. Conducts estimating/progress meetings. Acts as team leader for each job assignment. Reviews bid documents. Attends or holds pre-bid meetings. Assists trade partners in prequalification approval process. Reviews and updates trade specific scope of work with standard requirements. Obtains labor rates, taxes, and insurance requirements. Identifies owners and A/E contracts for questions on bid documents. Makes site visits. Prepares detailed preparation of all job estimates. Continually updates unit cost and programs for MC2 program. Monitors and promotes the use of automated estimating. Assists project managers with the analysis of major subcontractors and purchase orders during the transition from Estimating to Project Management. Reviews and approves new subcontractors and vendors for the bid list. Assists with development and maintenance of minority subcontractors and vendors bid list. Coordinates Bid Deposit/Trail run to bid deposit. Reviews estimates with VP of Construction, Sr. Pre-Construction Manager or Director of Operation 24 hours before bid dates. Responsible for establishing and meeting aggressive safety goals for all areas under his/her supervision and ensuring that others do the same. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises assigned employees in the Estimating Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work, and appraising performance.
