ABOUT ROW 7 SEED COMPANY

Row 7 is a seed-to-table company revolutionizing how we eat—and how we grow—through better-tasting vegetables. Founded by Chef Dan Barber, Row 7 works with chefs, farmers, and plant breeders to co-select new varieties in the field and kitchen. The company sells organic seeds to home gardeners and growers through its online marketplace, offers a line of branded organic vegetables in grocery stores, and introduced a line of ready-to-eat vegetables in early 2026.

THE ROLE

Row 7 is seeking a Customer Marketing Manager to bridge the gap between our brand story and retail shelves. This is a hands-on, execution role for a team member who is energized by being in the store, collaborating with retailers, activating promotions, and ensuring every retail touchpoint reflects the quality and care we put into our products. The right candidate will be equally comfortable pulling together a retailer sell-in deck, optimizing paid media plans, and being on-site for store activations.

REPORTS TO : Row 7 President

LOCATION : Remote with up to 30% travel to retail partners

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Shopper Marketing Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and own the annual customer marketing strategy, identifying key moments, accounts, and shopper audiences to prioritize
  • Build retailer-specific marketing plans that ladder up to brand goals and align with each account’s promotional and marketing calendar
  • Translate Row 7’s brand positioning and product stories into compelling, shopper-relevant messaging for the retail environment
  • Bring a shopper mindset to internal conversations, advocating for how and why the shopper makes decisions at the shelf

Retail Marketing Programs & Activation

  • Develop and manage retailer co-marketing programs, including digital and print media, in-store signage, seasonal campaigns, and brand moments
  • Own the customer marketing budget and activation calendar, tracking spend against plan and reporting on program performance
  • Manage the asset and approval process with retail partners, ensuring programs go live on time and on brand
  • Measure program effectiveness using available data (syndicated data, retailer POS, retail media metrics) and translate results into actionable learnings

Retail Media & Digital Shelf

  • Lead Row 7’s retail media strategy across key accounts and platforms (Instacart, retailer e-commerce, sponsored placements)
  • Ensure Row 7’s digital shelf presence (images, copy, and content) is accurate, optimized, and consistent across all retail accounts
  • Monitor digital availability and surface content gaps or issues to the appropriate teams

Brand-to-Shelf Content & Assets

  • Develop the full suite of shopper-facing materials in collaboration with sales team: shelf signage, packaging callouts, seasonal POS, and on-shelf storytelling
  • Ensure brand creative is adapted appropriately for retail contexts without losing what makes Row 7 distinctive
  • Build and maintain a library of current, on-brand retail assets that the sales team can deploy efficiently

Sales Partnership & Category Storytelling

  • Partner with the sales team to build category and brand narratives that earn shelf space and marketing support from buyers
  • Develop compelling sell-in materials grounded in shopper data and brand strategy, including brand decks, new items presentations, and category stories
  • Serve as the marketing voice in key account conversations, helping sales articulate Row 7’s retail marketing vision

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE

  • 3-5 years of experience in shopper marketing, customer marketing, or retail marketing in food or CPG; natural or specialty food experience strongly preferred
  • A strong understanding of the grocery retail landscape and how shoppers engage with products in a produce or perishables environment
  • Experience developing retailer marketing programs and co-marketing activations with major grocery accounts
  • Comfort using retail media metrics to inform strategy and tell compelling stories — you don’t need to be an analyst, but you know how to use data
  • Experience managing a marketing budget and measuring ROI on programs
  • A strong creative eye and the ability to brief, guide, and evaluate marketing assets — you know what good looks like on shelf
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets and PowerPoint; familiarity with Instacart Ads, retailer media platforms, or digital shelf tools is a plus

Are you a service-oriented professional who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly and supporting those around you? Do you have a strong foundation in accounting, but also enjoy being the go-to person in an office—someone others rely on, trust, and turn to for help? If you’re proactive, organized, and thrive in a role where no two days look the same, this opportunity offers a unique blend of financial oversight and operational leadership within a collaborative, growing team.

About the Company

Our client is a growing, global financial services firm specializing in accounting and bankruptcy-related services. With a strong U.S. presence and a highly skilled international team, they combine operational excellence with a collaborative, service-driven culture.

The Houston office is expanding, and this role is a critical hire to support that growth, enhance operational efficiency, and provide long-term continuity for the team.

The Opportunity

This is a high-impact, hybrid role combining accounts payable oversight with office management and operational support. You’ll act as a key connector across the business—supporting leadership, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and overseeing financial processes performed by an international accounting team.

This is an ideal role for someone who:

  • Reliable with consistent follow-through
  • Comfortable handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • Positive, team-oriented presence (“go-to” person in the office)

What You’ll Do

Accounts Payable & Accounting Oversight (Primary Focus)

  • Review and validate accounts payable work completed by the offshore accounting team
  • Ensure accuracy of invoice processing, coding, and financial entries
  • Understand and monitor accounting workflows, controls, and reconciliations
  • Identify discrepancies and work cross-functionally to resolve issues
  • Support financial operations with a strong understanding of end-to-end AP processes

Office Management & Operations

  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for office operations
  • Manage incoming mail, deliveries, and office communications
  • Coordinate vendors (supplies, shredding, water service, facilities, etc.)
  • Maintain office organization, inventory, and general upkeep
  • Support internal team needs and ensure a smooth, professional office environment

Administrative & Team Support

  • Act as a highly visible, approachable presence in the office
  • Assist leadership and owners with ad hoc requests and priorities
  • Help coordinate internal processes and ensure follow-through
  • Support a collaborative, service-first culture across the team

What We’re Looking For

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in:
  • Accounts Payable, Accounting, or Finance operations
  • OR a hybrid accounting + office management role
  • Strong understanding of accounting processes (not just transactional AP)
  • Experience reviewing or validating financial work is highly preferred
  • Experience working in a professional office environment required

Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with accounting systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Invoice processing
  • General accounting workflows
  • Financial controls and checks/balances

What Sets You Apart

  • Service-oriented mindset—you enjoy helping others succeed
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable juggling multiple priorities and shifting demands
  • Strong interpersonal skills—you can work across all levels, including leadership
  • Proactive, dependable, and adaptable

  • Understands accounting—not just processing, but why things work

  • Likes being in the center of an office environment

  • Can pivot quickly when priorities shift

  • Is trusted, reliable, and easy to work with

  • Brings both competence and warmth to a team
