The Opportunity :

As an electrical engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to testing Radio Frequency ( RF ) and other communication devices that need to be protected from cyber-attacks. We’re looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to help our client test and secure these devices from cyber threats by identifying attack vectors and using their RF experience to create test plans to ensure system functionality and security.

At Booz Allen, you’ll use your engineering skills to transform the cybersecurity landscape. Our team tests and deploys cybersecurity solutions to protect against all types of attacks, including those that exploit RF vulnerabilities. That’s why we need you, an electrical engineer with a solid background in RF engineering and radio technology, as well as knowledge of cyber-attacks and vulnerabilities, to help us design and develop cyber solutions and test plans while working with common RF equipment such as spectrum and network analyzers, anechoic chambers, and MIL-STD-1553.

On our team, you’ll design and perform analysis on various radio and encryption devices, with a cybersecurity lens. You’ll lead the discovery and characterization of waveform stress points by analyzing data link performance in high interference and contested spectral environments. We’ll look to you to apply systems-level expertise in wireless network data links to evaluate how RF-layer degradations propagate through the protocol stack and share your expertise through leadership and mentoring junior staff. You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in RF Systems Engineering
  • Experience with RF Circuit Design and RF Systems Design
  • Experience with design or development Software Defined Radio (SDR) technologies
  • Knowledge of SDR-based signal capture, generation, and processing to simulate and evaluate complex modulation and demodulation schemes under stress
  • Knowledge of forensic IQ analysis to identify root causes of link failure, and isolating effects such as multi-path fading, co-channel interference, and hard war e non-linearities
  • Ability to support design of instrumentation-grade RF Test Benches, maintaining rigorous control over IP3, Noise Figure, and SFDR to ensure measurement integrity
  • Ability to assess and mitigate cyber risks asso cia ted with wireless communications
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
  • Ability to obtain a CompTIA Security+ or IAT Level II Certification within 6 months of start date

  • Represent the voice of the client and provide input on the installation process, the onboarding procedure, monitoring, ongoing value-added service, and support
  • Serve as the primary contact for scheduling and coordinating flawless installation, the onboarding of new clients, training of end users and as post installation support
  • Collaborate with the onboarding team to optimize BrainBox AI applications as per Clients’ requirements and expectations and troubleshoot technical issues raised by clients
  • Gauge clients’ levels of engagement with the company and provide feedback to the other teams regarding product and service improvements
  • Identify opportunities for Clients to act as BrainBox AI advocates (e.g. testimonials, case studies)

What you will bring:

  • BCom/BSc/BEng, technical and/or HVAC experience a plus
