  • Collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, engineers, researchers, and legal/compliance partners to simplify complex technical or regulated concepts.
  • Participate in user research and usability testing to validate content effectiveness and iterate based on empathy, logic, and data.
  • Advocate for content-first thinking and accessibility best practices, including plain language and inclusive writing.
  • Contribute content directly within Figma and component-based design environments to ensure alignment between design and language.
  • Stay up to date on AI-assisted writing tools, translation workflows, and emerging content design practices.
  • Understand the full technical ecosystem of connected audio products and translate complexity into intuitive, actionable language.

What You Need

The Role

Chevrolet Art Designer

The Brand Identity Group resides in Vehicle OS under Human Interface Design; this is where GM’s UX becomes real inside the digital cabin. Chevrolet’s digital expression must mirror its physical ambition; athletic, modern and capable. The Chevrolet Art Designer plays a critical role in shaping Chevrolet’s visual DNA inside the digital cabin, ensuring that every image, narrative, and design moment reflects the brand’s heritage and its future-forward identity.

You’ll collaborate closely with Chevrolet’s studio, brand strategy, and UX teams to articulate the essence of Chevrolet through compelling visuals and storytelling. In this role, you will create high-end visual narratives, executive presentations, brand DNA guides, UX brand direction, high-fidelity visuals, and brand-specific content documentation that align product, studio, and leadership around a clear north star driven by storytelling and Chevrolet-specific UX brand content. Your work will anchor how Chevrolet is perceived in software from display documentation to strategic decks to high-fidelity imagery used in product and leadership conversations.

The culture here is studio-like, collaborative, and built on taste, craft, and strategic thinking. You’ll be surrounded by designers who care deeply about the work, who critique with intent, and who push each other toward excellence. You’ll need a strong eye, a refined aesthetic sensibility, and the ability to bridge art and strategy. Chevrolet requires a bold, expressive, and modern voice, and we need a designer who can own that voice with confidence.

This role is ideal for someone who sees design as storytelling and understands the responsibility of shaping a luxury brand’s digital presence at scale.

• Chevrolet Marketing Request Images

High-quality brand visuals used for product communication, digital launches, studio presentations, and leadership reviews.

• Cross-Brand Presentations

Executive-level storytelling spanning multiple GM brands; comparisons, alignments, visual narratives.

• Chevrolet-Specific Presentations

Deep dives for Chevrolet; brand history, future direction, UX implications, hero storytelling.

• Communication Design

High-quality figslides, keynote decks, PowerPoint narratives, and brand frameworks that connect strategy to creativity.

• Chevrolet-Specific Vehicle Content Documentation

Brand specific, vehicle specific documentation that collects software, screens, apps, feature-level explanations, software-generation changes, and the brand context for each experience.

Job Details

We’re looking for a Product/UX Designer to own the design of Hubble’s core product surfaces: the dashboard, developer documentation, and mobile app. This role sits at the intersection of product and engineering, and requires deeply understanding how developers and enterprise operators experience Hubble across every touchpoint, from reading our docs and setting up physical hardware for the first time, to managing a large fleet of connected assets in the field.

You’ll be the person who holds the full user journey in mind and makes sure the experience is coherent across all of it. You’ll talk directly to customers, conduct research, and bring that understanding back into every design decision. You’ll also build the design systems and foundations that let Hubble design consistently as the product scales.

This role is for someone who combines strong design craft with genuine technical curiosity and real empathy for developer audiences. You should be equally comfortable discussing API design and device constraints with engineers and sitting with a customer to understand how they think about connectivity, asset visibility, or operational monitoring, and then turning that understanding into product experiences that feel intuitive and well-considered

Preference is for the role to be in Seattle, but West Coast Remote could be okay!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and evolve Hubble’s dashboard: the primary surface where developers and enterprise operators onboard devices, manage fleets, and extract operational signal from their connected assets
Design for velocity. Think big about the end-state experience, but break it into shippable increments. Structure work so that we can crawl, walk, and run, validating early, learning quickly, and avoiding over-design before product-market fit signals are clear.
Design the developer docs experience, working with engineering and technical writers to make documentation that is clear, navigable, and genuinely useful for developers at every stage of integration
Design the Hubble mobile app, with an understanding of how the mobile context differs from the dashboard and what developers and operators need when they are in the field
Think across the full user journey. A developer’s experience of Hubble spans documentation, APIs, physical device setup, the dashboard, and the mobile app. Your designs should account for how those touchpoints connect and hand off to each other.
Build and maintain a design language system with documented components and usage guidance that scales across product surfaces and supports engineering velocity
Deliver complete design artifacts: user flows, state coverage across idle, loading, success, error, and empty states, and handoffs that give engineers what they need to build without follow-up
Use AI tools to move faster and explore more broadly. Generate multiple directions early, synthesize user research efficiently, and prototype ideas at a fidelity useful for getting feedback before committing to a direction.
Participate in PRD reviews and RFC cycles and bring a design point of view to product and engineering decisions
Talk directly to developers and enterprise operators. Understand how they think about their problems and let that shape what you design.
Partner with Growth on activation flows and self-serve content that reduces friction for developers discovering Hubble on their own

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
8+ years of product design experience with a portfolio that demonstrates strong craft and strong UX thinking.
Experience designing for developer audiences across multiple touchpoints. You understand how developers evaluate tools, what earns their trust, and how to design across surfaces like documentation, APIs, dashboards, and mobile in a way that feels cohesive. Bonus if you have thought about design across the full developer journey, including the physical hardware context developers are building in.
Comfort with the full range of UX work: journey mapping, user flows, wireframing, interaction design, visual design, and prototype-based testing. You move fluidly between strategic and detailed work.
Fluency with modern design tools and AI-assisted workflows that results in faster iteration, broader exploration, and higher-quality output.
Strong fundamentals in information architecture, visual hierarchy, interaction design, and accessibility
Experience with developer platforms, IoT, connectivity, infrastructure, or enterprise SaaS preferred
A track record designing for both product-led growth and enterprise motions, with an understanding of where those design requirements diverge
Disciplined about sprint cadence. You produce artifacts on time, communicate clearly with engineering and product, and close handoff loops without creating downstream ambiguity.
Experience building design systems that teams actually use, with documentation that helps engineers work independently
Clear, confident communicator. You can present a design rationale, hold a point of view, and write UX copy with the same care you bring to the UI.
Self-directed. You identify the work that matters, prioritize well, and operate effectively without close direction.
