We’re looking for a Senior Financial Analyst, Strategic Pricing to join the team who will drive deal management and contracting across multiple service business lines. What You’ll Do:

The Senior Financial Analyst, Strategic Pricing will work closely with his or her team members to support Business Units in making strong business decisions. The individual in this role will be expected to:

  • Drive financial sections of RFPs, proactive opportunities and renewals. Work with business teams to determine areas of improvement given findings from the team’s analysis and insights
  • Be fully immersed in the iterations of deal reviews and negotiation as a trusted partner to the Commercial team - sales pitches, negotiations, renewals, term sheets and contracts, leadership presentations, etc.
  • Champion and lead standardization of new best practice processes, procedures, and templates related to deal management
  • Assist in achieving pricing objectives using analytic tools to develop pricing models, dashboards, trend reporting, profitability, margin, and savings analyses
  • Navigate and build relationships with key stakeholders within sales, finance, and other functional teams. Be a team player, and a positive influence on others
  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience by providing guidance to others without formal management responsibilities
  • Develop resolutions to complex problems that frequently require creativity, while using judgment within broadly defined policies and practices

Basic Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business, or Economics, or equivalent experience (advanced degree is a plus) and typically requires 7+ years of relative experience that includes strategic pricing and deal management initiatives resulting in significant, measurable profit growth
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with and influence leaders across multiple functions (such as Commercial, Product and Operations) to make strong business decisions
  • Ability to drive strong analytic and critical thinking in support of structured and unstructured business initiatives
  • Extremely flexible, highly organized, and able to shift priorities easily and balance multiple complex projects simultaneously

Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst (“SFA”) will join the Financial Planning, Analysis team and play a key role within the McKesson Retail Banner Group. The main areas of responsibilities include forecasting, financial planning, budget preparation, business performance tracking and involvement in business development strategies.

Section A - Specific responsibilities

  • As part of Financial Planning & Analysis team; the candidate will act as a business partner to the McKesson Canada Retail Banner Business.
  • Support the Manager, FP&A relating forecasting and budgeting activities of the Member Purchases for the Retail Banner business.

Summary

The Senior FinOps Analyst - Budgeting, Reporting, Costing & FinOps Platform SME is responsible for enabling financial transparency, predictability, and accountability of cloud spend across the enterprise.

This role combines strong financial analysis with technical subject matter expertise to support budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, reporting, dashboards, and functional ownership of FinOps platforms. The role serves as a key interface between Finance, Engineering, and Platform teams to ensure FinOps tools, data, and insights are accurate, scalable, and audit ready.

Key Responsibilities Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Management

  • Lead cloud budgeting and forecasting activities, including adjusted forecasts, variance analysis, and budget lifecycle management
  • Perform forecast vs. actuals analysis and identify cost drivers, risks, and remediation actions
  • Support enterprise level and BU level budget tracking and consolidation
  • Provide costing analysis to support financial planning and decision making

Cloud Cost Estimation & Technical SME Support

  • Act as a technical FinOps SME providing cloud consumption and cost estimates for new initiatives, migrations, architectural reviews, and capacity planning
  • Translate technical designs (e.g., VM sizing, storage tiers, database SKUs, scaling assumptions, licensing models) into financial cost models
  • Partner with Architecture and Engineering teams to validate assumptions, usage patterns, and pricing inputs

How you’ll make an impact

  • Draw actionable conclusions, and make decisions as needed while collaborating with other teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory audit guidelines by adhering to roadmap of deliverables and timelines and implementing solutions to maximize national HEDIS audit success.
  • Partner with other teams to ensure data quality through sequential transformations and identify opportunities to close quality and risk care gaps.
  • Proactively communicate risks and issues to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Create, review, and approve program documentation, including plans, reports, and records.
  • Ensure documentation is updated and accessible to relevant parties.
  • Proactively communicate regular status reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and issues.

**Job Qualifications**

**REQUIRED EDUCATION:**

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience **REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:**

  • 2+ years of program and/or project management experience in risk adjustment and/or quality
  • 2+ years of experience supporting HEDIS engine activity, risk adjustment targeting and reporting systems
  • 2+ years of data analysis experience utilizing technical skillsets and resources to answer nuanced Risk and Quality questions posed from internal and external partners
  • Familiarity with running queries in Microsoft Azure or SQL server
  • Healthcare experience and functional risk adjustment and/or quality knowledge
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Project
  • Experience partnering with various levels of leadership across complex organizations
  • Strong quantitative aptitude and problem solving skills
  • Intellectual agility and ability to simplify and clearly communicate complex concepts
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation capabilities
  • Energetic and collaborative
**PREFERRED EDUCATION:**

Graduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

**PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:**
  • Knowledge of, and familiarity with, NCQA, CMS, and State regulatory submission requirements
  • Experience working in a cross-functional, highly matrixed organization
  • SQL proficiency
  • HL7 / Health Information Exchanges (HIE) preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare claim elements: CPT, CPTII, LOINC, SNOMED, HCPS, NDC, CVX, NPIs, TINs, etc.
