What You Will Do

  • You will join a team of engineers and analysts to realize team objectives:

    • Tasking is expected to include a mix of vehicle design and system sizing, mission performance analysis, and trajectory optimization.
  • Analyze notional missions and hardware for feasibility and engage with engineers across disciplines to improve models and understand performance drivers.

    • Develop common mission analysis, performance analysis, and mission planning toolsets for a various portfolio.
    • Utilize grid computing infrastructure to enable generation and analysis of large datasets
    • Produce visualizations of complex systems and mission CONOPs in STK or similar tools.
  • Coordinate with product line management and customers

  • Work closely with programs & AT leadership to develop concepts and mature technologies for new business development and capture. Opportunities to pursue IRAD funding and author intellectual property disclosures.

  • Engage directly in mission planning application software development and testing

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.

What you will do:

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Manage a cross-functional team of developers and QA. Act as the primary technical resource for ML model deployment and mentor team members to elevate their engineering practices.
  • Production Deployment: Navigate the engineering hurdles of deploying models at scale. Work closely with ML researchers to transition models from experimental stages to robust production environments.
  • Infrastructure & Framework Design: Lead the design and implementation of scalable AI frameworks. Utilize AWS managed services (SageMaker, Lambdas, Glue tables, SQS/SNS Queues, API Gateway) to build resilient microservices.

  • Support programs and pursuits by creating models, simulations, and analysis products. Determine requirements, develop simulation software, troubleshoot existing simulation capabilities, and create software designs and test plans.

Vantor is seeking a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer located in Herndon, VA, to support the development, integration, and cybersecurity compliance of various intelligence capabilities into a Development and subsequently Production environment. This role is ideal for someone who sees DevOps not just as automation, but as a software engineering discipline focused on building scalable, reliable systems and developer platforms. You will be a member of a project team responsible for designing and maintaining multiple DevOps pipelines integrating and deploying numerous components into the larger system technology stack. Deployment will be across multiple networks into private cloud infrastructures self-hosted for our government customer.

As a Vantor team member, you will closely support our mission partners, and your work will have direct mission impact. In this role, you’ll work closely with other DevOps engineers, software developers, infrastructure technicians and cybersecurity professionals leveraging open-source technology to create and maintain the full stack of a High-Performance Computing (HPC) system that hosts a diverse range of applications served out to thousands of users.

SimVentions, consistently voted one of Virginia’s Best Places to Work, is looking for a Test Engineer to join our team at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) in Dahlgren, VA. In this full-time, on-base role, you will design and maintain automated test scripts, develop detailed test plans and cases tied to requirements, execute manual and automated testing across multiple levels, and collaborate with developers and government customers to identify and resolve software defects. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of software/systems testing experience, proficiency in test automation and Linux environments, strong requirements traceability skills, and excellent communication abilities for daily customer interaction and occasional technical presentations. U.S. citizenship is required, as well as willingness to work 5 days/week on-site at NSWC-Dahlgren.
