Senior Data Analyst, Analytics Engineering
Pearl Health
Dallas, Texas
Fully remote
Senior
$105,000/hour - $160,000/hour
RECENTLY POSTED

The Opportunity

As a Senior Data Analyst at Pearl, you will bridge the gap between raw data and business value by designing and maintaining the trusted data models that power critical decisions across clinical outcomes and P&L. You have spent time “in the trenches” as a Data Analyst or BI Engineer—you don’t just build models to be “correct”; you build them to be usable, understanding how downstream users in BI Tools will interact with your work. You will partner with Data Science, Product, and Engineering to architect a self-service data environment. Rather than just answering ad-hoc queries, you will codify business logic into clean, documented datasets that empower the entire organization to explore practice engagement, patient spend, and network analytics with confidence. You will drive team best practices by managing pull requests, conducting rigorous code reviews, and maintaining documentation within a Git-based workflow, applying software engineering principles—like automated testing and CI/CD—to ensure our pipelines are robust and scalable.

Who we are. . .

Pearl Health is powering the future of healthcare. We help primary care providers and organizations to deliver quality healthcare to the patients who need it most, when they need it most — and get rewarded for keeping patients healthy.

Our technology, services, and financial tools enable better, more proactive care, decrease total cost of care across patient panels, and optimize performance in value-based care models for Traditional Medicare and Medicare Advantage.

We are a team of physicians and public health experts (Stanford, Harvard, Mount Sinai), technologists (athenahealth, Amazon, Meta, Flatiron), healthcare innovators (Centivo, Aledade, Stellar, Arcadia), and experienced risk management professionals (CVS/Aetna, Humana, Oscar) who believe that primary care providers are the key to addressing our healthcare system’s biggest challenges.

Since its founding in 2020, Pearl has expanded to partner with thousands of primary care providers in practices and organizations across 44 states. Our investors include Andreessen Horowitz, Viking Global Investors, AlleyCorp, and SV Angel.

What Senior Data Analyst means to us

  • Partner with our technical lead to design flexible and scalable data models that capture the ontological relationships of our healthcare data, balancing immediate business needs with long-term architectural health.
  • Translate complex company goals into governed, reusable data models in dbt and Snowflake, serving as the “source of truth” for downstream BI tools (Hex).
  • Execute the design and development of robust data transformation pipelines. You will focus on modularity, performance optimization, and maintainability, ensuring our data assets scale with our data volume.

Senior Data Engineer
Murmuration
Florence, Colorado
Fully remote

+4

At Murmuration, we believe that America’s promise is shaped and reshaped by the best ideas and ideals of its communities, and the dreams of the people who believe in a better life for themselves, their families, and each other.

We help organizations build power in their communities in four key ways: we organize a network of values-aligned partners; we provide deep, data-driven insights into people, places, and perspectives; we develop tools that make organizing and engagement easy and more effective; and we offer services that strengthen our partners’ capacity to lead change in their communities.

We envision an America where every community has what it needs to help people lead healthy, free, and dignified lives. We work to redesign the systems and structures we all depend on — how we learn, live, govern, and solve problems — so that they are just, equitable, resilient, and rooted in shared responsibility. By strengthening the ties that hold communities together, we aim for civic life defined by collective action and care, with effective leadership that truly represents everyone.

We are a collaborative, curious, and creative team of organizers, scientists, teachers, technologists, campaign veterans, and more who share the unwavering belief that we can use our gifts in service of transforming America — together. We’ve built our team guided by the belief that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. And so we support each other relentlessly — rallying together to face challenges the same way we celebrate each other’s wins.

About the Position

You’re a mission-driven data engineer with a track record of building infrastructure that delivers real impact. You’re deeply curious not just about how systems work but about the messy, real-world data they must support. You’ve done this before: you understand what “good” looks like, you deliver high quality solutions, and you help the teams around you operate more effectively.

At Murmuration, you’ll work with voter files from 50 states (each with its own format and quirks), census data, polling results, geographic boundaries, election returns, and more. These data sources arrive at different cadences, anywhere from multiple times a day during early voting to once a year from the census. Your role is to bring order to this complexity by building the pipelines, data contracts, and governance that transform these disparate inputs into Atlas, our unified representation of American civic life.

This role is for someone who’s energized by complex data problems, comfortable with ambiguity, and motivated by the understanding that strong infrastructure and data foundations is a core part of what makes research, product development, and meaningful civic impact possible. You’ll partner closely with data scientists, researchers, and product teams who rely on what you build.

You also stay curious about emergent technologies, particularly AI, and apply them thoughtfully to amplify your impact and the effectiveness of the broader team.

Job Level P4

What You’ll Do
  • Own data pipelines and infrastructure: Design, implement, and evolve scalable, production-grade systems using tools such as Dagster, Airflow, Snowflake, AWS, MongoDB, and dbt. Apply a cloud-native and DevOps mindset using CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, and automated testing to build reliable systems. Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet both immediate product needs and long-term organizational strategy.

  • Lead data ingestion and integration: Bring in complex, high-volume datasets while ensuring strong data contracts, freshness, quality, integrity, and lineage, and build systems that empower domain experts to contribute to and maintain their own data pipelines.

  • Transform raw data into trusted data products: Convert raw inputs into structured, usable datasets that empower our analytical and product teams. Collaborate closely with operational data managers to ensure data models and intuitive, reliable alignment with how data is consumed in practice.

  • Leverage AI: Make informed judgement calls about how AI can be a force-multiplier for both your own work and the team’s and how it can’t.

  • Elevate the team: Mentor engineers, actively shape technical direction through architectural reviews and roadmap planning, and build team culture through documentation and knowledge sharing.

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in data engineering or a related field;

  • Deep experience designing and operating data pipelines and orchestration frameworks (e.g., Dagster, Airflow);

  • Strong understanding of ELT/analytics engineering patterns (e.g., dbt, dimensional modeling, data contracts);

  • Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake) and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS);

  • Proficiency in Python, containerization (Docker), and modern deployment patterns;

  • Experience working in lean, cross-functional teams and operating in environments with evolving requirements; and

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical partners.

Nice-to-haves
  • Familiarity with Voter File Data;
  • Experience with or interest in political data;
  • Background in political tech, civic tech, advocacy, or mission-driven organizations;
  • Experience within an engineering team providing technical support to other data functions (e.g., Data Scientists, Data Managers, etc.); and/or
  • Experience applying AI/ML techniques to voter or political data.

Talented Data Engineers come from all walks of life and career paths. If you are passionate about civic engagement and technology, please apply, even if you do not check every box!

Location and Compensation

The Senior Data Engineer is a full-time, salaried position with a comprehensive benefits package (details below), open to candidates anywhere in the United States.

The starting salary for this position is $190,576. We set compensation using market data and apply it consistently across the organization to ensure fairness and transparency for everyone in similar roles.

Our Culture of Care

We work hard to create a culture of care to ensure that our staff are best equipped to lead happy, healthy, and balanced lives. To that end, we offer a comprehensive benefits package which includes:

  • Health, vision, and dental insurance with 100% of premiums covered for you and qualifying family members;
  • Retirement benefits with a 5% employer match;
  • A flexible unlimited PTO plan;
  • Generous paid parental leave;
  • Pre-tax commuter benefits;
  • A company laptop;
  • A flexible remote work environment;
  • A home office setup stipend for all new employees;
  • Monthly reimbursement for remote work expenses;
  • A yearly professional development fund;
  • Mental health and wellness benefits through Calm and Better Help;
  • Yearly in-person staff retreats; and
  • A welcoming culture that celebrates diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

At Murmuration, we believe a vibrant, representative democracy depends on the inclusion of diverse voices, lived experiences, and perspectives. The best ideas don’t come from a single person or ideology — they emerge at the intersection of different backgrounds, identities, and viewpoints. We are proud of our commitment to building an organization and culture shaped by respect, empathy, and collaboration, where our team’s diversity fuels innovation, civic engagement, and meaningful change. We welcome new colleagues who will help us nurture this collective effort. Join us.

An Equal-Opportunity Employer with a Commitment to Diversity

Murmuration is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and as an organization committed to diversity and the perspective of all voices, we consider applicants equally of race, gender, color, sexual orientation, religion, marital status, disability, political affiliation and national origin. We reasonably accommodate staff members and/or applicants with disabilities, provided they are otherwise able to perform the essential functions of the job.

Note: Murmuration is two organizations working together to pursue our mission of amplifying the power of civic engagement: Murmuration Research Institute, a 501©(3) that conducts research to identify, design, and create the data, tools, and insights that build healthier and more equitable communities; and Murmuration, Inc., a 501©(4) that supports organizations working across the country on the nation’s most challenging issues with access to data, tools, and research that build healthier and more equitable communities.

Software Engineer, SDK
Keycard Labs
Dallas, Texas
Fully remote
Mid - Senior
Private salary

About Keycard At Keycard , we’re building identity & access infrastructure for the agent-native era —where software isn’t static, but a dynamic, constantly changing system of AI agents working on behalf of people and businesses to complete dynamic tasks at runtime. Our mission is to unlock the agent economy by empowering developers and enterprises with the secure, scalable foundations they need to build, deploy, adopt, and trust agentic applications . To do this, we’re building the real-time, in-band, contextual guardrails required to transition from human-driven to truly autonomous and agentic workflows that give users, builders, and security teams the confidence and control they need to bring agents out of the lab and into production. At our core, we’re laser-focused on delivering a delightful, best-in-class developer experience that gives them the tools they need to create category-defining applications and experiences while giving platform and security teams the security, scalability, visibility, control, and enablement they need to accelerate their organizations journey to becoming agent native. We’re a small, distributed team of repeat founders and builders, with backgrounds from Snyk , Auth0 , HashiCorp , and Heroku . Joining Keycard now means helping define not just our technology, but also the culture and company we’re building together—during a once-in-a-generation platform shift. The role We’re hiring an engineer to join the team that builds and owns the Keycard Agent SDK — the libraries that bring trust, governance, and telemetry to AI agents in production. Keycard is a control plane for agents: policy enforcement, identity propagation, audit logging, and runtime governance. The SDK is how developers use it. It needs to work across languages (Go, Python, TypeScript, Rust), agent frameworks, and deployment patterns (cloud, edge, hybrid). You’ll build the SDK libraries, maintain compatibility with upstream frameworks, contribute to open protocol work (MCP, A2A), and advocate for what agent developers actually need. You’ll work directly with founders, product, and the systems engineers building the underlying services. What we’re looking for * You follow the agent ecosystem closely — you build with these tools and have opinions about what works, what doesn’t, and when to use which framework. * Strong systems engineering instincts. You write tests, think about backwards compatibility, version correctly, and care about API surface area. * You’ve built libraries or SDKs that other developers depend on. You understand the difference between building a product and building a tool others build products with. * You work across multiple languages without treating any of them as second-class. Strong candidates may also have * Experience with plugin systems, provider architectures, or marketplace/ecosystem engineering (Terraform providers, VS Code extensions, Stripe integrations, etc.) * Contributions to open source agent frameworks or protocols * Background in identity/auth protocols (OIDC, OAuth, mTLS) at the library level * Experience with code generation tools (OpenAPI, protobuf, smithy) for multi-language SDK maintenance What We Offer * Build at the Frontier: Work every day at the frontier of agent-native systems — shipping, inventing, and iterating on technology that hasn’t been built before. You’ll be given huge autonomy, the opportunity to gain mastery, and the chance to work in a team that holds each other accountable to succeed. * Truly Agent-Native Culture: At Keycard, we don’t just enable others to adopt agents — we use them ourselves to build. You’ll help shape an organization that embeds AI into its foundation as an enduring competitive advantage. * Compensation With Upside: Market-competitive salaries and generous equity packages (4-year vest, 1-year cliff) give you the security to focus on building — and the asymmetric upside of ownership in a company chasing a category-defining mission. * Comprehensive Benefits & Recharge: Health, dental, vision, and paramedical coverage for you and your family, plus 4 weeks vacation, 11 statutory holidays, and 1 volunteer day annually. We encourage at least 2 weeks off each year to fully recharge. * Tools That Keep You Ahead: A new MacBook Pro, a $500 stipend for peripherals, and the best AI tools available so you can work at the forefront of agent-native workflows. * Remote-First Flexibility: We are a remote-first team prioritizing asynchronous collaboration, with hiring focused in North and South America. Work where you’re strongest — we just want the best. Why Join Us? Keycard is building the fundamental unlock for the next generation of software: enabling truly secure and trusted agentic applications. Under the hood, we’re building a new identity and access control stack to take us from a world of static, user-focused, long-lived roles and credentialing to one of mixed machine & human interaction that is dynamic, contextually-scoped, and short-lived. By joining as an early employee, you’ll have the opportunity to help curate a culture of iterative craftsmanship, disciplined design, empowerment to own meaningful problems, and consistent high-quality delivery with real impact. You’ll collaborate with the founders and investors who have championed identity, security, and developer tools from seed to scale with companies like Snyk, Auth0, and Heroku. If you’re energized by tackling complex distributed systems and want to advance both developer productivity and security posture , with a hunger to learn, have an impact, and move quickly with determination we’d love to explore how you can help us shape the future of software.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Increase deployment confidence and velocity by embedding automation and quality signals into everyday engineering work.

  • Track, publish, and operationalize quality metrics (coverage, flake rate, defect escapes, regression trends) for each service.

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Security—communicate early, document risks, and seek alignment on release readiness.

  • Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate test development, triage, and analysis while applying strong engineering judgment.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Ability to contribute in at least one of: TypeScript/React, Go, or Python (to build/extend test tools and frameworks).

  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments (iterative planning, continuous improvement).

  • Strong communication skills; you proactively align stakeholders and surface tradeoffs.

WHO YOU ARE (PREFERRED):

  • Experience with low-latency/performance testing (p95/p99 regression detection, load testing, scalability validation).

  • Familiarity with observability (metrics/logs/traces) and using telemetry to improve test signal and triage.

  • Exposure to ML/AI workflows or platforms (e.g., ML-Ops style integrations) and testing those integrations.

  • Experience with contract testing, service mesh/API gateways, or event-driven systems.
