We are seeking a system architect for mobile product SoC and chipset development. As part of the Mobile Product Architecture team, you will collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineers across the organization. Your role will be to drive the analysis and definition of next-generation architecture for our mobile SoC and chipset, contributing to Qualcomm’s evolving mobile solution roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

Product Architecture Analysis:

Lead the analysis of product architecture with a focus on cost, performance, and power trade-offs. This will involve the understanding of leading-edge semiconductor processes capabilities and packaging technologies
Analyze new customer use-cases and map them to Qualcomm current HW and SW solutions, propose improvements and optimization to be included in next generation product planning
Challenge the status quo by performing trade-offs between cost, IP selection, and key product KPIs, proposing innovative paradigms that align with business unit objectives.
Utilize knowledge of CPUs, GPUs, DSPs, AI engines, cache coherency, bus interconnects, MMUs, memory and bandwidth analysis, power grids, and off-chip interfaces. Collaborate with core IP teams to conduct product KPIs trade-offs for various architectural options

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with core systems, hardware design, software, and product management teams. Define and align a product roadmap intercept and build a solid incremental development plan. As a technology advocate, you will directly contribute to setting priorities and budgets within the business unit.
Effectively communicate architectural trade-offs, analyses, and reviews to technical leads and peers. Present summarized risks and benefits to the executive team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with large data sets and able to extract actionable conclusions.

Strategic Problem Solving and Innovation:

Adopt a top-down approach to problem-solving, working from undefined or unsubstantiated requirements. Focus on generating and narrowing down options by creating supporting data, even when starting from a blank sheet of paper.
Invent and file patents on technical solutions to relevant problems encountered in the course of work.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 8+ years of Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 7+ years of Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

8–10 years of experience in one or more domains of semiconductor product development, including system design, architecture, hardware design and validation.
A minimum of 3 years of experience making trade-offs between product key performance indicators (KPIs) and costs.
At least 5 years of experience working within a large, matrixed organization.
3 or more years of experience in a role that involves direct interaction with senior leadership.

General Summary:

Qualcomm’s GPUs Command Processor team is responsible for designing the GPU controller which takes command streams from the Graphis Driver and configures and commands the GPU to render graphics.

As a member of our team, you will be working closely with architects, designers, verification, software and uCode engineers, developing the uCode that drives one of several proprietary RISC processors in the system. Your development platform will primarily exist in an RTL simulation environment so you must be comfortable interpreting waveforms using the Verdi visualization tool. The uCode and RTL work closely together at the lowest levels so you should be comfortable analyzing RTL to understand problems and in formulating proposals for RTL based improvements/solutions.

In this position, you will also be responsible for providing debug support from pre- through post-silicon and finding root-cause of bugs and proposing uCode work-arounds. We are looking for highly motivated engineers that enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. General Summary:

Qualcomm’s software CPU (aka application processor) architecture group develops long-term software roadmaps (for a horizon of three to five years). Design and development of firmware of boot, debug, idle and active CPU power management CPU software/hardware design trade-offs Coordinating debugging of critical SW issues that are artifacts of any high-performance CPU microarchitecture (prefetching, speculation, memory ordering etc…) Definition of short and long-term SW architecture roadmap in accordance with Arm’s architecture ISA evolution Represent the CPU SW teams in engagements with Arm/ RISC-V architects and third-party software partners (e.g., Google, MSFT, RISE etc.)

Since the contributions of the CPU software organization affect a large span of products, the function provides an uncommon exposure to multiple technology domains related to system-on-chip development. Environmental Technician (Landfill Gas)

I. Job Summary

This position reports to the Gas Operations Manager and is responsible for the operation and maintenance of landfill gas collection and control systems (GCCS). The GCCS consists of a series of extraction points known as wells, interconnected via piping. The collected gas is transported using gas conveyance equipment (such as a fan or blower). Landfill gas (LFG) collected by this extraction system from the landfill’s wellfield is combusted within a flare. Proper operation of the GCCS is required to comply with various State and Federal environmental regulations.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Properly operate and maintain GCCS in a timely and cost-effective manner to ensure regulatory compliance and optimize performance.
GCCS operation and maintenance includes:
Calibrate, operate and maintain sensitive electronic data collection devices necessary to optimize LFG collection from the wellfield.
Collect and manage data entry from wellfield extraction and environmental monitoring locations.
Implement the GCCS preventative maintenance plan.
Operate and maintain liquid management system pneumatic or electric driven pumps (troubleshoot and determine liquid levels within liquid containment structures and or LFG collection wells).
Perform wellfield valve/vacuum adjustments, data collection and maintenance; interpret data.
Use Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) or High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) piping materials and associated equipment to perform maintenance on piping materials.
Complete the WM Landfill Gas Technician I Training.
Develop basic understanding of environmental regulations related to GCCS operations and develop the ability to work within an environmentally regulated industry.
Follow job related health and safety requirements and procedures.
Available for on-call response to GCCS related malfunction event(s).

As a Qualcomm AI Software Engineer, you will create and implement machine learning techniques, frameworks, and tools that enable the efficient utilization of state-of-the-art machine learning solutions over a broad set of technology verticals.

In this position you will be responsible for assisting with the software design and development of the Qualcomm AI Stack within the Qualcomm AI Runtime (QAIRT) SDK, focused on IOT domain. You will contribute to the efficient execution of advanced deep neural networks (DNNs), large language models (LLMs), and other modern AI architectures.

You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your passion for software design and development through your analytical, design, programming, and debugging skills. In this role you will lead feature development, provide guidance to junior team members, and make decisions impacting your direct area and the broader work group. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable AI software solutions, and contribute to a culture of technical excellence, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the AI Software team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 6+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 5+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

Responsibilities

As the AI software lead, you will be hands-on and leading the team responsible for ensuring AI SDK support for a variety of IOT product platforms.
Drive feature development and enhancements needed in the Qualcomm AI Stack SDKs for IOT products.
You will work closely with the rest of the AI software team and with other teams within Qualcomm involved in supporting IOT platforms.
Decision-making is significant in nature and affects work beyond the immediate work group. You will provide supervision/guidance to other team members, and you will participate in strategic planning for integrating the Qualcomm AI Stack SDKs into IOT products.
You will also have to keep up with the fast-paced development happening in industry and academia to continuously enhance our solution from a software engineering as well as a machine learning standpoint.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
8+ years of industry and general software development experience
Proficiency in software development using C/C++
Experience with Linux or Unix based OS systems software development environment
Strong software development skills (e.g. data structure and algorithm design, object oriented or other software design paradigm knowledge, software debugging and testing, etc.)
Ability to work independently with no supervision
Ability to lead a software team and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable AI software solutions
Excellent communication skills (verbal, presentation, written).
Ability to convey complex and detailed information to multiple audiences and high-level stake holders
Ability to make decisions and construct plans with incomplete information

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
Software development experience with Python
Experience with Windows software development environment
Experience building embedded software applications
Experience debugging complex problems across multiple layers of hardware, OS, compiler, and drivers
Experience with different Neural Network architectures: DNNs, CNNs, RNNs/LSTMs, GANs, LLMs, etc.
Experience with low level interactions between operating systems (e.g., Linux, Android, QNX) and Hardware.
Experience using/integrating Qualcomm AI Stack products (e.g. QNN, SNPE, QAIRT)
Experience with agile software development practices and git based SCM
Ability to collaborate across a globally diverse team and multiple interests

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$178,400.00 - $267,600.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
