The Role
Defines the requirements to design, develop, build, and maintain the tools, processes and data architecture of a Model Based Enterprise. Analyzes capabilities of existing and proposed systems, and develops technical, structural, and organizational specifications. Leads internal and external stakeholders through determining conditions and designing fully functional and secure digital solutions. Develops long-range objectives and strategic plans for digital engineering innovations, and effectively communicates documented data and results to necessary stakeholders. Generates and presents business case analyses to executive leadership to pursue digital enterprise opportunities. Enables digital transformation efforts by conducting research, driving new technical approaches and processes, as well as developing and managing testing of functionality.
E92 Model Based Engineering (MBE) team, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Model-Based Engineer to join our innovative team and support our efforts to revolutionize how we design, build, and sustain aircraft carriers and submarines. The primary responsibility of this team members will be to support projects in the MBe Innovation Cell (iCELL). The ideal candidate will leverage digital engineering techniques to support the lifecycle management process to develop, test, implement innovative engineering & design solutions for complex shipbuilding projects. This individual will require a solid understanding of current engineering processes as well as an overall understanding of how ships are designed, planned, constructed, and maintained. This position includes a range of responsibilities including leading R&D-related projects, systems engineering, process & tool solution development (including CAD, CAE, cloud infrastructure, etc.), application of industry standards, project management, and support strategy development. This individual will be required to interface with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of leadership.
This person will be supporting the new Submarine design and legacy programs with a focus on the use of a model based environment to research, test, and implement digital engineering solutions. The focus areas are to define “what” and to “what level” these solutions should be considered for NNS programs followed as well as “how” to manage the associated environment and data. An ideal candidate should have basic knowledge of and a willingness to learn emerging technology enablers, including model based analysis and simulation concepts, product development lifecycle (PLM) software, product requirements management, and the software development lifecycle.

Key Role:
Administer the support services for a project or program and maintain project information for project managers and directors. Provide Configuration Management ( CM ) support to the SCMS CM team and projects related to the design, development, and production of complex Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence ( C4I ) systems. Monitor change processes to ensure updates to Technical Data Packages are implemented in a timely manner. Implement CM processes in accordance with CM plans and industry standards. C ond uct Physical Configuration Audits ( PCA ) on systems prior to establishing a product baseline, maintain drawings and Configuration Item data in the CM database tool, and update drawing package changes, as required. Support Configuration Control Boards ( CCB ) by compiling CCB change request data prior to the CCB, facilitating the CCB agenda during the meeting, and generating meeting minutes for CCBs. Ensure proper maintenance of Configuration Status Accounting ( CSA ) systems, prepare CSA reports as required, track Technical Directive ( TD ) implementation for approved changes, and support the establishment and maintenance of production baselines.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $43,700.00 to $89,000.00 (annualized USD).
