What you will do

Under specific direction is responsible for the sale of Johnson Controls service offerings to owners, primarily at the Director level. Promote the Johnson Controls value proposition to building owners by providing technical solutions and operational expertise. Builds and manages long term customer relationships/partnerships with target and managed accounts. Responsible for customer satisfaction. Positions renewable service agreements as the foundation of managed account relationships. Performs the sales process to cultivate and manage long-term relationships and seeking out, qualifying and closing new sales opportunities. Obtain and close sales on a monthly basis. Seeks to expand the depth and breadth of Johnson Controls offerings within an account.

How you will do it

What you will do

Reporting within the Johnson Controls security business, directly to a Security Sales Manager, this role’s main focus is to secure Planned Service Agreements with new and existing customers. This role serves as the subject matter authority for video services and digital services, including proactive health, and more.

The job responsibility for this position is two-fold. One, to reactivate, add-on, make minor modifications to out-of-service locations. Resales represent a critical need for JCI. Not only do Resales help us recapture valuable recurring revenue, but they also bring us new JCI customers that are a great source for selling additional services. What you will do

The Commercial Sales Executive is responsible for promoting and selling Johnson Controls Security services and technology within an assigned territory, using relationships, and closing new business for Johnson Controls Security and ensuring customer retention.   • Apply system knowledge and engineering methodologies to design new capabilities and enhancements to the operational baseline.
  • Create/update requirements and use case documentation.
  • Create/update end user documentation such as user guides.
  • Create/update architecture diagrams, flowcharts, graphics, and other documentation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires BS in Engineering (or a related discipline) and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or a Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience in lieu of a degree additional years of may be accepted.
  • Experience with systems engineering methodologies.
  • Experience with architecture diagrams.
  • General knowledge of IP voice telephony concepts.
  • Experience performing requirements analysis.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong customer relation skills.
  • DoD Top Secret clearance required.
  • Security+ Certification or other DOD 8570 IAT Lvl II Certification - Security+ Certification will need to be obtained within a reasonable timeframe after starting if the selected candidate does not already possess one when hired.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with network layered encryption topologies and methodologies.
  • Experience with HAIPE devices.
  • Experience with ITIL service delivery concepts and best practices.
  • Experience with change, configuration and performance management NetOps concepts.
  • Experience with system security, design, and architecture.
