Overview

We are seeking an experienced attorney (Sr Counsel) to join the Corporate & Project Finance Legal Practice of the Project Development & Finance Department in the Aramco Law Organization.

The Corporate & Project Finance Legal Practice within the Law Organization is responsible for, among other matters, advising on, negotiating, and documenting Saudi Aramco’s corporate and project finance transactions and capital market transactions.

As a Senior Counsel, your primary role is to lead the legal activities with respect to the development and implementation of finance and capital markets transactions, including the structuring, negotiation, documentation and execution of such transactions.

Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

  • Lead the legal activities with respect to the negotiation and execution of financing transactions in all contexts. Including for parent company bank debt, joint venture project financings, and/or capital markets issuances, among others, including the structuring, negotiation, and documentation of such transactions.
  • Advise Management and internal clients with respect to Saudi Aramco’s legal rights and obligations, agreements, and common statutory or similar requirements in connection with financing transactions.
  • Assist Law Management and other attorneys in identifying and examining the law and facts pertinent to legal problems.
  • Liaise and work with outside counsel to negotiate and document transactions.
Minimum Requirements

As a successful candidate you will have:

  • A Juris Doctorate degree or equivalent.
  • Current admission to general practice before the highest court of the state or country of which you are a citizen or resident.
  • A minimum of 7 years of finance experience in a law firm with a strong project finance or capital markets practice,
  • Experience comprised of a combination of law firm and in-house experience in a corporation handling finance transactions would also be considered.
  • demonstrable experience working directly with the clients from transaction inception to completion.
  • Hands-on experience with structuring, drafting, negotiating, and leading transactions in a first or second chair capacity.
  • Experience with international transactions and finance principles.

Position Summary

The Data Exploitation Analyst II participates in all phases of data collection, processing, and reporting at a customer site in Suitland/Camp Spring, MD. The primary responsibilities of this role are to acquire, analyze, compile, evaluate, and review data for use in standard products, non-standard products, and/or data holdings in support of mission requirements.

Duties And Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL:

  • Processing, analysis, evaluation and exploitation of navigation, remote sensor, and shipboard instrumentation data collected from various deep ocean systems.
  • The candidate will be involved in pre-mission support, data collection, analyst & evaluation and report generation.
  • As enhanced data is identified, the candidate will be responsible to update and correct data sets.
  • Perform analysis and evaluation of imagery collected from side scan sonar, bathometric, video, and still photography cameras.
  • Use proprietary software including GIS-based systems in a network of workstations and personal computers (Windows) to perform basic imaging enhancement, display, and analytical functions to obtain, organize, and present information relevant to the exploitation of remotely sensed and imaged data obtained from deep ocean systems.
  • Review mission related data logs, worksheets, and reports to determine focal points for the analysis as well as discovery of deficiencies and discrepancies in the performance of data collection equipment and systems.
  • Preparation of formal written technical reports as well as oral briefs to report analysis findings and conclusions to the customer.
  • Some travel is required. Will be required to participate in at sea exercises or data collection missions of various durations. Durations normally are between 15 and 30 days but can be as much as 120 days. Normal annual requirement is 45-60 days.
  • Represent OTECH and our customer by interacting and participating in meetings, panels, and committees within Department of Defense, Department of the Navy, and Intelligence Community in the capital planning process.
  • Production of various ad hoc documentation & deliverables.
  • Maintain configuration control thereby ensuring precise data records.
  • Support program reviews and technical reviews of various documentation deliverables.
  • Individual contributor that works under limited supervision.
  • Determines approach to work, monitored / supervised based on key objective check-ins.
  • Lead assignments for specific job function or projects.
  • Lead entry level individual contributors to ensure the work completion as per set standards and procedures.

ADDITIONAL:

  • Schedule can be demanding throughout the year and work outside normal working hours from time to time should be anticipated.
  • Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
  • Day shift, with occasional after hours and weekends (<3%) .
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Must have 2-6 years of relevant experience with an Associate Degree in a Scientific, Mathematical or related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Background or experience with data analysis and/or data interpretation.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Strong technical writing skills and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and work well in team settings as well as take independent direction, as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and image editing software such as Adobe Photoshop.
  • Ability to pass and maintain a maritime physical. Must take maritime safety training IAW the US coast guard guidelines and meet physical, dental, and regional immunization requirements.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance, be able to take/pass a polygraph, and be able to maintain both for the tenure of this position.
  • Position tenure ship is dependent completing the full security clearance application process successfully within 1-2 years of accepting the position.
  • Must have all required certifications and maintain for the tenure of this position.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

DESIRED:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Oceanography, Underwater Archeology, or related field.
