Leidos Defense Sector is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to support the Air Force Technical Applications Center (AFTAC) U.S. National Data Center (US NDC). The US NDC operates mission‑critical systems across secure, high‑availability classified and unclassified environments.

This role focuses on enterprise Linux workstation administration, with primary responsibility to support and manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) endpoints using Red Hat Satellite and Ansible automation. The ideal candidate enjoys building repeatable, automated solutions and maintaining a secure, compliant workstation environment supporting a critical national security mission.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administer and sustain enterprise Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) workstation environments (200+ endpoints)
  • Support Red Hat Satellite, including patching, content views, lifecycle environments, and system compliance
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Ansible playbooks for provisioning, configuration management, patch enforcement, and security remediation
  • Ensure Linux workstations remain compliant with DISA STIGs, RMF controls, organizational cybersecurity policies, and Zero Trust architecture principles
  • Automate routine administration tasks to improve consistency, auditability, and operational efficiency
  • Monitor workstation health, performance, and patch status; remediate vulnerabilities and configuration drift
  • Troubleshoot and resolve OS, application, and hardware issues supporting end users
  • Integrate Linux workstations with enterprise identity and network services ( e.g., AD, LDAP, DNS)
  • Maintain configuration baselines documentation, and standard  operating procedures
  • Support on-call rotation and occasional after-hours support as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciple with 2+ years of related experience. Additional experience, training, or certifications may substitute for degree
  • U.S. citizen; Currently possessing an Active DoD Top Secret clearance and eligibility for Top Secret/SCI
  • Currently hold a DoD 8140 IAT level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Sec+)
  • Hands-on experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments
  • Direct experience supporting systems with Red Hat Satellite
  • Experience developing and maintaining Ansible automation
  • Proven abilities with Linux system hardening and security compliance practices

The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector/Global Solutions Management-Operations II (GSMO-II) contract has an opening for an Implementations Network Engineer at Scott AFB, IL.  TheImplementations Network Engineer will perform installation oversight, configuration, testing, monitoring, servicing of network equipment and activation of networks for projects supporting the Department of Defense networks.

Primary Responsbilities: Responsible for performing and training team on the following duties:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proficient knowledge of various network hardware equipment specifications, configuration and testing processes, and industry specifications.

• Verify measurement traceability to NIST, or other recognized national standards, in accordance with aerospace quality requirements.
• Analyze calibration data, evaluate measurement uncertainty, and ensure results meet stringent aerospace tolerances.
• Maintain calibration records and certificates in compliance with AS9100, ISO/IEC 17025, and customer specific requirements. Work with Engineering, Quality, and Operational teams to identify and locate items that are due or overdue for calibration and act accordingly (e.g. calibrate, send for calibration, quarantine, etc.) Troubleshoot and diagnose or repair precision measurement equipment, including sensors, transducers, torque tools, and environmental chambers.
• Develop, refine, and validate calibration procedures to support new aerospace programs, materials, and test methods.
• Support internal and external audits, including customer, regulatory, and accreditation audits.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operational teams to resolve measurement-related issues affecting flight hardware or qualification testing.
• Provide technical guidance and training to technicians and production personnel on measurement best practices and equipment handling.
• Adheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental programs and culture
