Requirements:

Must have at least two years’ experience:

  • Developing software in C++
  • Working in a Linux environment

Description

Leidos is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the maritime autonomy team. In this position you will work in a diverse environment that allows you to get into every aspect of software development, and deployment across the software development lifecycle. Leidos is seeking a Sr Transport Network Specialist to support related efforts for SMIT, the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT), Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. What You’ll Get to Do:
The Sr Transport Network Specialist will proactively contribute to the analysis, design, planning and ongoing support to NMCI transport areas.

Other duties include:

  • Serve as a technical expert for vendor solutions and for engineering support solutions and products related to transport.
  • Perform reach back into vendor research, development, and technical support teams to ensure effective design and application in the production environment.
  • Perform solution development and engineering work for networking/transport.
  • Participate in the planning of upgrades, replacement, configuration, and maintenance of networking/transport projects.
  • Engineer solutions that provide secure, effective and efficient operation of systems, architecture, and topology for transport.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing Trapeze software direction, desktop, server and network support for client operations according to Service Level Agreements (SLA).  This includes, but not limited to, desktop and server repair, network maintenance, helpdesk tickets, disaster recovery and other projects as assigned.
