Develop technical data by analyzing source data engineering data, including Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), 3D models, and drawings.
Ensure appropriate technical information and data are accumulated through researching and analyzing project engineering drawings, test procedures, design specifications/documentation, and software description documents.
Be able to develop description and procedures to support maintenance and operations, as required by the project.
Ensure clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation is authored, and adhering to the processes and specifications for each project.
Be able to collaborate effectively with Subject Matter Experts such as engineers, technicians, and publications personnel.
Actively participate in team meetings, and interface with illustrators and production personnel to support the development of technical documentation.
Review, analyze, and determine impact of customer comments and redlines, and help team determine actions to resolve comments and follow through with management and/or customers.
Ensure assignments are completed in a timely manner to facilitate on-time delivery of technical data to our customer.
Contribute to continuous improvement objectives to achieve delivery and quality goals.
As required, travel to the customer site for Validation and Verification events.
Required Qualifications:The ideal candidate will have proven successful experience as a Program Manager within a technical publication environment. Additional qualifications include:
2 or 4-year degree/or equivalent experience.
3+ years’ experience in developing technical publications for commercial or military programs - including SGML/XML tagged data.
Must understand technical documentation specifications S1000D (Issue 4.1 or later preferred).
Solid technical knowledge/experience with the development of operational, maintenance, IPB, theory, and troubleshooting information/procedures for aircraft or ship systems.
Strong relationship-building, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in pressure situations and to meet tight deadlines.
Provide real-time status reporting of assignments.

Assist reviewing production contractor Work Items, access cut plans, design calculations, and other structural engineering related documents for accuracy and technical acceptability.
Coordinate with other engineering personnel, production and maintenance team, ships force, NAVSEA, ISEAs, NSWCs, RMCs, and others as required to develop solutions for naval architecture related issues.
Review SARs, design technical products, and deliverables with supporting estimates for final review by Government in support of the accomplishment of SHIPALTs.
Interface with cognizant executing activity and planning yard representatives on final design products for technical accuracy and conformance to NAVSEA requirements prior to final acceptance by the Government.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering, Oceaneering, Naval Architecture or related major.
Minimum of two (2) years general experience with the installation, operation, repair, testing and maintenance of naval or marine structure and preservation systems.
Experience in the assessment, repair, and maintenance of structure and coating systems on US Naval ships.
Have knowledge about sheet-metal, preservation, nonskid, materials, insulation, piping and welding on Navy Ships.
Hands-on experience with this equipment in the last two years.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of Navy assessment programs, inspections, visit processes and reporting methods for visits.
Ability to utilize computers including the Microsoft Office Suite for compiling information for reports and history files and transfer digital pictures from camera to computer and enhance as required and label them for report purposes.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.

Pay Rate:The pay range for this role is $32.30 to $39.50 hourly. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.ADA Notations:

Ability to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions
Ability to wear a respirator
Frequently lifts, carries and helps setup tools, equipment, and parts that weigh up to 50 pounds
May be required to go aloft onboard ships to inspect Tanks, Voids, Spaces, and Superstructures.
Incumbent may be required to operate at sea for multi-week intervals as part of mission requirements.
