The selected candidate will be responsible for performing calibration, verification, maintenance, and troubleshooting support on Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE). The qualified candidate must be able to work both independently and as part of a team that is dedicated to high performance; focused on the support and maintenance of various TMDE assets on an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contract. Our Sr. Calibration Technician is a key contact for customers who need assistance in resolving technical issues, and communicates on TMDE status, analysis, and solutions while building positive, trusting relationships.
What You Will Do:
• Calibrate laboratory working standards and customer TMDE using manual and Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
• Use TMDE to perform voltage, frequency, current, resistance, impedance, power, LF/RF/microwave frequency, temperature, physical/dimensional, and fiber optic measurements in a calibration laboratory environment
• Overhaul, modify, repair, and certify TMDE using electronic theory and advanced principles of metrology
• Process Return to Vendor (RTV) paperwork and documents for TMDE calibration and repair beyond lab capability and higher-level certification
• Maintain TMDE recall database and enter appropriate information as required for records keeping and traceability
• Research required technical information and order required parts using appropriate procurement systems

A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Calibration Technician at Ophir MKS, you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, repairing when necessary, and calibrating customer’s laser diagnostic equipment. You will be reporting to the Calibration Supervisor and will work closely with the Technical Support and Quality teams.
You Make an Impact By:
• Conduct calibration of instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards and specifications
• Document calibration results, maintaining accurate and detailed records of all calibration activities for audit and compliance purposes
• Regularly inspect, test, and troubleshoot instrumentation and equipment to detect and correct any deviations from standard performance

Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly Pay Range: $16.70 - 27.83 USD Hourly. This person will be supporting the SSN(X) new Submarine design, and FORD Class Carrier and focus on the use of a model based environment to develop a comprehensive framework for digital twin value assessment and analysis processes. The focus areas are to define “what” and to “what level” digital twins should be considered for NNS programs followed by the “How” to manage digital twin maturity states. They should also have basic knowledge of and a willing to learn emerging technology enablers, including model based analysis and simulation concepts, requirements management, IoT, software driven systems, and sensor feedback for component operating and behavior characteristics necessary to validate physical to virtual relationships of a digital twin.

The Calibration Solution, an ATS company, is seeking a Calibration Technician for a full-time position to be based at a client facility in the Rockford, IL area. The candidate will be responsible for the calibration of mechanical inspection, measuring and testing equipment in the field work at the customers’ location, as needed.
Job Description
The candidate will work with other technicians on the team or may work on projects by themselves. The candidate should be a self-starter and should possess good interpersonal skills. Good verbal and written communication skills and well as computer skills are a must. Candidates must travel on-site to calibrate a variety of inspection, measuring and testing equipment.
Responsibilities
Calibration of mechanical inspection, measuring and testing equipment.
Hardness testers, optical comparators, surface plates, tensile testers
Torque drivers, torque wrenches, torque analyzers
Pressure gauges, temperature equipment, force equipment
Basic knowledge of mechanical and physical dimensional calibrations.
Listed above is a representative sample of the type of equipment calibrated daily.
Qualifications
Requirements
Candidate should have previous experience in mechanical measuring, inspection, and testing equipment calibration. Candidates with experience using mechanical measuring, inspection, and testing equipment will also be considered.
Commercial or Military experience acceptable.
Candidate shall be able to work 40 plus hours per week to meet customer demands. Overtime work is required.
Candidate shall provide their own cell phone with data plan for connection to ATS email and multi-factor authentication.
Candidate shall be able to lift 60 pounds.
Candidate shall have a clean driving record, background check, and drug screen.
