Our Canadian client has a contract opportunity for a Software Engineer whose main function is to design, develop, implement, test, and maintain business and computer applications software or specialized utility programs, including mainframe and client/server applications, and major enhancements of existing systems.

  • Day Shift from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
  • On-site is required on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Specific Responsibilities of this Position:

This role is part of a group responsible for creating virtual in-the-loop environments to enable development, verification, and validation of embedded controllers and calibrations for hybrid, electrification, thermal management systems, and battery management systems.

The Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) Simulation Integration Engineers (SIE) are ultimately responsible for delivering a quality simulation environment on time to meet the customers’ requirements. This position requires an individual with a passion for modeling, an adept knowledge of system simulation and integration, and demonstrated capability for managing a wide variety of technical and customer needs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and integration of cosimulation components to satisfy the end-user test requirements.
  • Create virtual controller models to be used across different simulations
  • Create, maintain and test virtual controller components such as HWIO, RTOS, communication models, etc.
  • Obtain, develop & parameterize sub-system models, such as sensors and actuators, and ECU behavioral models
  • Work with development engineers to understand new feature requirements, address issues, and ensure proper implementation
  • Work with System Engineers to define SIMBOMs (the required cosimulation assets) based on the test requirements.
  • Integrate Plant models and other ECU models into a dynamic virtual simulation
  • Create and maintain detailed documents for each release
  • Provide support for released simulations and assist with user testing and troubleshooting
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members
  • Ensure the cosimulation environments are delivered with quality
  • Support cloud deployments

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 year of integration experience
  • 3+ years of experience in virtualization
  • Proficient in Embedded C and Python
  • Competent with embedded controls software and the automated software build processes, including gcc compiler, gdb debugger, Eclipse, Jenkins, and ETAS INCA tools
  • Adept experience with MATLAB and Simulink in the context of plant model development and integration, and basic usage of additional simulation tools (. GT-Power, AMESIM, CarSim)
  • Proficient in automotive communication technologies such as CAN, LIN, SPI, and automotive Ethernet.
  • Familiar with FMU/FMI standards and SSP.

Leidos’ Defense - Sensor Research and Analysis Division is seeking RF Seeker Engineers of different career levels to join our team. The division performs radar design, hardware builds, algorithm development, software development, HWIL testing and analysis across a variety of both research and development and operational tasks.

The candidate selected for this role will primarily support the algorithm development efforts of the division with a focus on RF seeker signal processing capabilities and concepts of operations. The selected candidate will maintain a familiarity with the fielded systems our division supports, investigate cutting-edge RF seeker technologies, and develop studies which educate our customers on seeker technology advancements. These studies will consist of provisional MATLAB modeling, closed-loop simulation, and validation on radar hardware. The candidate will present progress and findings of these studies to government and prime contractor stakeholders and will collaborate with the rest of the division on radar development and testing activities.

  • RF Seeker CONOPS – Concepts of operations and decisions to close the kill chain with an RF seeker in various use cases and environments.
  • RF Seeker Mode Logic – Waveform, algorithm, and guidance methods associated with distinct stages of an RF Seeker flight, and transitioning between those stages.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution plus 2- 8 years of experience in one or more listed experience areas, or a relevant MS degree in engineering plus 2-6 years of experience in one or more listed experience areas.

  • Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area. This is NOT a remote or work-from-home position.

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

  • Must have excellent math skills and/or possess and show good fundamentals in one or more of the following:

  • Should be able to apply one or more of the above skills to the areas of radar modeling & simulation, antenna array theory, digital signal processing, tracking, algorithm development, and field testing of sensor systems.

  • Experience working with Matlab, Python, or similar scientific-based programming tools to implement math or scienced based phenomenology related to linear systems, digital signal processing, tracking, or electromagnetics is required.

  • Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong technical background.

The Role

Defines the requirements to design, develop, build, and maintain the tools, processes and data architecture of a Model Based Enterprise. Analyzes capabilities of existing and proposed systems, and develops technical, structural, and organizational specifications. E92 Model Based Engineering (MBe) team, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Model-Based Engineer to join our innovative team and support our efforts to revolutionize how we design, build, and sustain aircraft carriers and submarines. The primary responsibility of this team members will be to support projects in the MBe Innovation Cell (iCELL). The ideal candidate will leverage model-based systems engineering (MBSE) techniques to support the lifecycle management process to develop, test, implement innovative engineering & design solutions of complex shipbuilding projects. This individual will require a solid understanding of current engineering processes as well as an overall understanding of how ships are designed, planned, constructed, and maintained. • Manage moderately sized projects or processes

Qualifications You Must Have

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), Space Mission Systems seeks an Associate, Experienced or Lead Spacecraft Autonomy Engineer (Level 2, 3, or 4) support subsystem design and verification for Boeing satellite programs in El Segundo, CA.

Autonomy Subsystem engineering assignments include requirements definition and flow down, systems design and fault test analysis, systems integration, test, and verification. You will resolve technical issues and ensure hardware and software integration are flight worthy prior to delivery. This role will provide support for autonomous product requirements definition and decomposition, systems design and analysis, systems integration, test, and verification.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to Avionics subsystem in algorithm development and fault scenarios development process, and In-orbit anomaly investigations
  • System requirements definition, flowdown, and verification
  • Spacecraft Autonomy Design (Fault Detection/Response, Mode architecture, System Support functions)
  • Perform Fault Analysis
  • Support Fault Contingency Modeling (with stressing failure scenarios in various mission phases)
  • Work closely with Guidance, Navigation, Control teams for Dynamics and Control simulation as required
  • Develop mission analysis and scenarios
  • Support System Design Reviews
  • Support Flight Software Qualification and Test Case Development
  • Define and document mission parameters for flight software use, operations, and testing

  • Experience working with GNC sensors using MIL-STD-1553, SpaceWire, CAN, LVDS or Ethernet interfaces
